    A&B Septic was hired to do a pre-inspection at a home we were interested in purchasing. We hired them to locate and inspect the distribution box and drain field. They were unable to do either of those things and we were still charged the full amount. I asked them for at least a 50% refund which they fully ignored. We feel that they did not do the job that they were hired to do. We feel a refund of $262.50 would fair.

    We hired a second company to get the work done, and they had no problem finding and inspecting the distribution box, locating the drain field lines and flushing them within the same time limit (3 hours) that we paid A&B to complete the job in.  We feel that since a different company proved it not difficult to locate the areas we requested A&B to locate and inspect, that they did not do the job hired for and should have not charged us.

    Contacted the company for my refund on Monday, and was told they'd mail me a check.  By Thursday no check had been received, so I contacted them again. They said the check was mailed Thursday.  No check in my mailbox by Friday or Saturday.  I had 7 days to choose accept or decline on the BBB website.  I'm not sure if choosing "accept" is the right choice since there is no proof "the check is in the mail."

    I am rejecting this response because:  I spoke with office personnel (****) by phone on Monday October 30th, and was assured they would be sending my refund by check.  By Friday (November 3rd) I had still not received the check, so I emailed **** and asked about it again, letting her know that BBB only gives me 7 days to accept or reject the offer.  I was told the check had been mailed out Thursday.  Saturday came and went with no check received.  I cannot in good conscience accept their response with no real proof that "the check is in the mail."
