*Because my children love these places and kid events are often held at them, I'll pay for a few hours of jumping. We did this on August 31 of 2023. Due to all the bustle and kids and socks and water bottles and everything, it is likely that my 13-year-old filled out the thing. I don't know. What I do know is that I either forgot or didn't know that this was going to magically morph into a monthly expense.-August 30,2023: one-time jump event, paid ***** -10-01-2023: Charged *****, no email notification.-10-30-2023: Charged *****, no email notification.-12-01-2023: Charged *****, no email notification.-12-30-2023: Charged *****, no email notification.-01-31-2023: Charged *****, no email notification.*My issue with this is that they DO NOT SEND NOTIFICATION EMAILS about an upcoming recurring subscription. They are clearly PREYING upon harried mothers.*The vast majority of other services out there send out a good faith reminder in case the purchaser no longer wants the goods and services. Spotify, every streaming service in the world, a random downloadable software for photo conversion--everywhere does this. *Defy Beaverton not only did not send any sort of email notification to me, they also did not send any kind of "events and upcoming things" type of email. It was radio silence. I feel this is a somewhat underhanded and sneaky business model--they know very well that a four hour jump charge ($*****) is very likely to change into at least one additional month's charge and they will make more money on services that were not used by the payer.*We didn't go back after the August event. When I noticed the charges, I called, then called again, then emailed them and requested a refund for the obvious above reasons. it was for the total amount (excepting the first charge, as we were there for that) of $164.95. *They flat-out refused, citing the "agreement" I (or my child) had signed on the one jump day. *This feels dishonest.

I took my kids to Defy to enjoy a day of jumping and when we arrived to pay, I was pushed to sign up for a membership. I politely declined, twice. After paying and getting home to relax I checked my email and saw that I was signed up for a membership anyway. I tried calling and got nothing. Emailed twice and got an automated response that someone would reach out, they never did.

Still no response here. I have tried multiple times to cancel and no one will get back with me.

We were charged for a membership adult add on that we did not sign up for. We incurred seven months of charges without our authorization. I spoke with a manager named ******* at the Beaverton location who stated he could not fix the refund, but to call and email the corporate office. I have been trying to reach someone to refund our account for several months and have not received a call back or an email from anyone. The amount is $191.84 with charges every month over a seven month span.

We had cancelled our membership at Defy back in October of 2022. We noticed in our bank statements that we have been being charged $55 per Month since that time until present March 2023. I went into the Defy in Beaverton and spoke with the manager who said they cannot issue refunds and that I need to send an email in. It seems that, for whatever reason, we had two accounts under the same name, and only one was cancelled in October. We were unaware that there would be two accounts under one household and if you look at our attendance, we have not shown up since September of 2022. Could you please refund us the money for the months charged ($275.00) that we should have not been?

On September 21st, I went to Defy for the last time as a parent jumper (Costs $9.99/month) to my elite account. I asked the person at the front desk to cancel my subscription as I would no longer be going to Defy. The Employee reassured me that I would get charged for the next two months as that is part of their contract, but afterward, I would receive no more charges. In November and December, I am still receiving charges from Defy for this subscription when they should definitely have been cancelled. In November, I attempted to contact Defy 3 times over the phone and I have left a voicemail indicating the reason I have called and my contact information for a call back. I've heard nothing. I wrote up an email to their email address on their website and have received no response. The front desk is normally packed and I don't even trust their word that they will cancel my subscription. Even prior to September 21st, I tried to cancel my subscription at the front desk and they continued to charge me. This business is impossible to reach and has charged me unauthorized payments that I hope to stop. A refund would be nice as well.
