On October 26, 2023, I took my 2013 ************* Sprinter cargo van to Meineke Car Care Center #**** for diagnostics and service. The shop identified several issues, including the need to replace the Idler Pulley, as outlined in the attached Meineke Shop Inspection RO#: ******. I agreed to the recommended repairs, which included replacing the Idler Pulley and drive belt. After the work was completed, I went to pick up my van but couldn't start the engine. I noticed oil leaking onto the newly installed drive belt and alternator, so I left the van at the shop. Meineke then transferred the vehicle to the ************* of Wilsonville dealership. On November 9, 2023, the dealership contacted me about a major oil leak they had found. After further investigation, ************* of Wilsonville discovered that the oil leak was caused by a missing water pump holding bolt, which Meineke should have reinstalled during the drive belt replacement. This issue was documented in the attached communication about the engine leak concern between ****, Meineke's Service Advisor, and me on November 13, 2023, where I requested Meineke to fix my cargo van. ************* of *********** completed the necessary repairs, as shown in Invoice No. M1CB211290, dated November 30, 2023, with a total cost of $4,994.12. I asked Meineke to cover the cost of these repairs, as documented in the attached communication between ******** ****** at Meineke and me on November 13, 2023. However, I have not been reimbursed for the additional expenses caused by Meineke's improper service.Meineke's failure to reinstall the water pump holding bolt led to further repairs by ************* of ***********, costing $4,994.12. Additionally, I incurred significant business losses totaling $28,000 due to my inability to use the cargo van for business purposes from October 4 to December 9, 2023. In total, Meineke's negligent repair and service of my 2013 ************* Sprinter cargo van resulted in losses of $32,994.12
