Tuesday 8/20/2024. Went to get a copy, work done back in 2021. One of four men came out of room having lunch. It was almost 2:00pm. He asked about car. I said a little rough, lugs a little, no big deal. He said would you have an hour, 158 for me to look at it...a weird statement, (a second option never hurts). Ok. He said...that is It's one hundred and fifty-eight dollars, thats the 1st time, he had said "One hundred and fifty-eight dollars". That is more than doctors make. I laughed. I seriously thought he was joking with me. I had taken it to another ************ charged me nothing. I had no idea, he was planning on charging me for doing nothing to my car at all. I live on Social Security; my car is not running well and he wants to charge me One hundred and fifty-eight dollars... for doing nothing. I think I was in shock. I paid it and prayed the LORD would make this right. Crying, as I was driving home, I called ******* (owner), since it is his business and his name is on line. He said if ***** thought he was worth one hundred and fifty dollars an hour for his expertise to evaluate a car than ok--WOW. I asked if they had put it on machine to see what problem was & that I would like a copy of that. ******* said they don't have a way to print, personally I believe it is trick and that saying it needs a Spark Plug is an easy RIP-OFF a SCAM. Unless this is taken care of I will discourage others. I explained that there is a thing about menfolk (mechanic's) taking advantage of women who don't know about cars. That posting this with Maynards name would not be to anyone's advantage, but I think he was tired and didn't want to deal with it. I wish I never would have walked in that place. I feel that I was treated dishonestly, Deceitfully, Unfairly, inapproachably and I dont want this to happen to anyone else. I feel that (Shop) should make this right and cancel the transaction. Please look into this and tell me what I can do. Thanks, "D"eb
