I got a call from this credit collections company for a ~$20 debt from 2020. When I requested documentation/proof of the debt via email, they refused and hung up on me. I then called back multiple times, leaving voice mails. I finally got another *** who threatened to call the cops on me. So, I went down there to pay the debt and was again told to leave under threat of the cops being called, I complied and left, all on video. Be warned, this credit agency WILL NOT provide you with proof of debts, they will threaten you without justification. I got quite frustrated with their lack of proof and they went straight to threatening to call the cops. I drove down there, all on video, with my checkbook to pay the debt. My only request was to see the actual bill. The woman at the counter, who was actually quite nice, wen and got the office manager ***** who instantly told me to leave and refused to hear me out. I had arrived with and displayed my check book and stated my intention to pay the bill, all I asked was "can I see the original the bill" and they said they have to request it from the client. So, my question was, if you don't have the bill, how do you know I owe the debt? They told me to leave. I cannot trust this business based on my experience and will fight this debt because this business is abusive and unprofessional. ***** was confrontational instantly. She made no effort to hear me out when my only request was to see the bill I supposedly owed.
