    On May 3, 2024, I contacted Chetco Insurance seeking coverage for General Liability Insurance for my new private security business, Real Enforcements. After several email exchanges, Chetco Insurance requested additional information about Real Enforcements to provide a quote. On May 10, 2024, Chetco Insurance notified me they had found an underwriter and provided an annual premium quote. We met in ******** on May 11, 2024, where I issued a cashier's check for $16,572.37 to *********************, the lead agent/owner of Chetco Insurance. **************** advised the official quote would be available on May 13, 2024.I received a certificate of insurance on May 13, 2024. However, after receiving a lower quote ( $2899.98) from ******** Insurance on May 14, 2024, I promptly canceled my policy with Chetco Insurance via email, accepting a 25% cancellation fee. Despite issuing an Insurance Binder on May 14, 2024, ******************** communication and behavior changed thereafter.Efforts to obtain updates on my cancellation and refund, starting on May 16, 2024, were largely unsuccessful. **************** attributed delays to underwriters, Bass Insurance, who, when contacted, clarified their role and confirmed the refund should come from Chetco Insurance.Despite these discussions, attempts to contact Chetco Insurance since June 14, 2024, have been unsuccessful. On June 20, 2024, **************** acknowledged receipt of the refund check from Bass Underwriters and assured me of sending it promptly, but subsequent attempts to contact him have been unfruitful.Furthermore, Chetco Insurance's business address is no longer listed on their official website, raising concerns about their current operational status.I am seeking your assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Specifically, I request your intervention to ensure Chetco Insurance honors their commitment to refund the $16,572.37 owed to me, less the agreed-upon cancellation fee, and provide clarity on their business status.

    I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you of the recent developments regarding my refund request with Chetco Insurance.

     

    Since May 14, 2024, I had been pursuing my refund from Chetco Insurance, encountering challenges with communication and responsiveness. Subsequent to filing a complaint through your esteemed organization, there has been a notable improvement in Chetco Insurance's communication, culminating in the issuance of my refund check on July 18, 2024.

     

    While I appreciate the resolution of my issue, I wish to maintain my complaint on record to underscore the experience I faced during this process. I believe it is important for prospective insurance consumers to have full transparency regarding Chetco Insurance's customer service practices.

     

    Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please let me know if there are any further actions required from my end.
