    We try to shop local businesses!Carpet One Flooring in *********, ****** has a monopoly on floor products in our small rural community of *********, **. They take advantage of customers, as there is no competition (all other flooring businesses closed). The current owner (this is questionable, since it is a nationwide company), was disrespectful when I explained that we had had poor service in the past and distrusted the fact that we had to pay up front before we could even be on the schedule (told they were scheduling at least two months out) to get the floor put in. Plus there is a clause (see below) that is the materials are stored for more than 3 moths, they will assess a monthly storage fee We bought flooring from this business in the past that has fallen apart and that is why we need to replace the floor now. We also had another room where they did not have enough materials to finish our rooms. I personally did a search to find a nearby business had the materials needed to finish the project.From the agreement signed up front: 100% of all materials total due at time of order with balance due prior to installation or delivery. Materials stored at Carpet One Floor & Home for more than 3 months will be assessed a $25 per month storage fee. Any unforseen labor and/or materials needed to bring floors to acceptable standards will be charged at $66.00 per hour plus materials needed. A service charge of 1.5% (18% per year) must be added to all invoices over 30 days. By initialing here, you are acknowledging receipt of CCB packet including the following:Consumer Protection Notice, Notice of Procedure, Information Notice to Owner about Construction ************** of Right to Lien. _____________ RETURN POLICY: No returns on special orders. Returns on in stock materials within 30 days of purchase. Invoice must accompany returns.
