    In June we hired Elevated Tree & Construction ****** CCB:242813 to remove a tree in our back yard. The owner, ***********************, billed us $2,000 for the service. He told us we could pay via the square app, so we did. He didn't see the charge so asked we pay in cash to which my fiance agreed as ****** assured him, if the charge went through later they would refund us. My fiance paid ****** in cash and went to his bank along side a employee of Elevated Tree & Construction, ******, to cancel the charge. The bank agreed to cancel it, however the charge still went through so my fiance requested it be disputed, however because we never received a receipt for the credit card charge, US Bank denied our dispute request in August. Right after we were made aware of the denial, my Fiance contacted ****** (the associate) for a refund for the money we were double charged. ****** never responded (we gave him a couple weeks to respond). Last week I contacted the owner, ******, letting him know of the situation and requesting a refund, he saw my message and left me on read, so I messaged him 2 more times throughout the week and nothing. He would open my messages and just not respond.I'm not sure the exact route I need to take but we just want out $2,000 back.
