On September 19, 2023 Better Business Bureau investigated Package Chef Logistics LLC’s business practices. This investigation was prompted by a large volume of scam tracker reports. Consumers claim Package Chef Logistics reaches out regarding both full-time and part-time positions as packers and stockers working remotely. Package Chef Logistics LLC described the position as a middleman for customers buying products overseas to ensure that the items were not damaged. They would open and inspect, then resend the package once they have been confirmed undamaged. Consumers who consider themselves employees are offered a decent salary along with bonus incentives; however, employees allege that they are not being paid for time worked. When employees reach out to Package Chef Logistics LLC concerning their paychecks, communication from Package Chef Logistics LLC stops and the login to the website is blocked.
BBB has found Package Chef logistics had been registered with the Oregon Secretary of State and since August 18, 2022 the registration has been dissolved.
BBB has found the website www.packagechef.com is no longer active and domain is listed for sale.
On September 29, 2023 BBB attempted to contact Package Chef Logistics LLC by email and US Mail at [email protected] and 5305 River Rd N Ste B Salem, OR 97303 requesting information about the Scam Tracker allegations, their location, and their business practices. To date, BBB has not received a response.
