They charged my account 260 dollars I have zero idea on why. Then when I call to see why the charged me they say I should no why if it's really my account.Business Response

Was charged $279 for nothing when ever I ****** how to get ahold of company like was suggest buy my bank it says it's a risk screen shot. Beware there no company and no one to get ahold of too get your money back. Expect horrifying reviews I read I hope this company dose the correct thing. And refunds money. This company is being slick by posing as the *** by using very similar logos, and even models the questions exactly like the *** website. To the unsuspecting eye one can and will be fooled and scammed out of $249-$279.Based on the logos and tone of the questions, I thought I was using the official *** website to apply for my EIN. I was fooled too.The EIN was never emailed to me either and I've been checking my email.I tried to call but I received a voice message since it was past 3pm (6pm on the East Coast).I want an immediate refund or I will report this company to the *****Business Response

This includes assisting businesses with LLC incorporations, providing Registered Agent Services in all 50 states, as well as assisting customers with obtaining relevant Employer Identification Numbers if required. Our site mentions that we are a third party in multiple places, and requires that the customer confirm via checkbox that they understand they are working with a private entity to assist them.

6/12/2023 for $279.00 I used this site to file for an EIN number. I paid extra for the number to arrive same day via email. I never received the email as it stated. When I went to investigate this issue further I realized this was a third party website to ensure easy questions and they would fill out this EIN application for you. Which is very misleading. I found the actual IRS website and they asked the same exact questions and I got my EIN number for free as soon as I submitted the application. I called this business to ask for a refund due to not receiving the email and that I already got an EIN number. They denied any correspondence to this issue. This company charges for an EIN. It claimed to be a service to help businesses obtain this number. It charges $279 for this service, which requires the same information and effort that the actual government website requires- for free. After immediately discovering that the service is not only unnecessary the number they gave me was fraudulent. I asked for a refund but since I had technically received the service they wanted to charge a $75 cancellation fee. Im disputing the charge with my credit card company and - since I gave this business ALL my sensitive identity information- I have gone to the great effort of preparing for identity theft. This service may not technically be illegal but it skirts the line. The *** warns about this particular kind of scam.Business Response

On 09/18/2022, I googled *** EIN and clicked on what. I thought was the *** website. As I went through the process for an EIN number, which stated would cost. $149. The next page had information on incorporating my business for an additional fee. At that point I realized I was on a third party website and NOT the *** website. The bottom of the page had a "submit application" button. I clicked on the * button at the top of my safari web browser in order to not submit the order. An hour later, I received an email message from my credit card company advising of a $249 charge from Business Tin. The website I was on read: https://irs.taxid-usa.com The next morning, today's date. I looked up the Business Tin as I never received an email of any confirmation of a purchase from this business. I called the number I found on ****** and spoke to a woman who continued to interrupt me as I tried to explain, I did not authorize the charge. She stated it was processed today and cannot be reversed. I also asked where the company was located and she stated, it was in **********. The BBB has the company located in ID or OR. so not sure if she was trying to make it difficult. for me to file a complaint.
