      Back in June, 2022, I toured the ********* Avamere Assisted Living Facility. I put down a refundable $1000 deposit to secure an apartment for my mother, ***********************. She was not going to move in until I verified our intent to move in. An employee told me to put down the deposit to make sure we would be on the list to have the room I viewed. Shortly after, my mother became ill and was hospitalized. I consistently contacted the employee to give updates. My mother eventually had surgery and went into the Amamere Rehab of Hillsboro. While she was there, she contracted covid so again she was not able to move into the Assisted Living. I was contacted that the room we had secured needed to be given up, which I agreed to. After getting out of the rehab facility, my mother again became ill and had to hospitalized. I continued to contact Avamere with updates. My mother never came out of the hospital, leading to her death on August 12. Once I knew my mother was on hospice care in the hospital, I contacted Avamere and told them she would not be moving in. I requested a refund of the $1000 deposit. I have dealt with three persons at the Facility, but have still not received any refund. Nor have I been contacted by the ***************** I have made numerous requests to have this money returned so that I can settle *************************** estate. The Financial person, and the general manager of Avamere Hillsboro have been rude via email, and have refused to give me the contact information for the ***************** It has been very difficult to get any kind of resolution. They tell me they have forwarded my request for the refund, and that there is nothing else they can do. I have numerous emails that can be shared if necessary. The contacts at Avamere are *****************************, *******************************, and *********************. I have attached one email to show you the communication.

      I am writing to let you know that the complaint I filed has been resolved. The ** for my complaint against Avamere Family of Companies is ********. The company finally sent the refund I had been continuously requesting. Thank you for your consideration and help. *********************
