First of all they call unit 3 the projects for a reason! They have ********* patients mixed, big mistake. They don't have evening counselors to deal with the **** If you having a mental health issue in the evening they don't have anyone to attend to you, don't allow you to call someone, don't call your emergency contact (my wife), nor want to return your property if you choose to leave. They give people meds they don't need & allow patients to walk out without taking them. So the patients sell it to other patients who want to get high! I volunteered & when I chose to leave the 2nd shift supervisor told me "I'm in charge & no you can't have your property nor make a phone call!" To add insult to injury she threatened to trespass me from the property after coming back from calling my wife at the Sunoco because she asked me to go back & get my stuff. The supervisor put a 48 hour hold on MY PERSONAL ************ had to leave with no phone & live in reading. I Had to walk from ********* to ************ to the greyhound bus, it took me 5 hours. My legs were swollen & in serious pain. Insurance Carriers need to do a serious audit & send someone in undercover. 2 patients have already taken their own lives by hanging themselves, I wonder why! The icing on the cake is that i have to go back & get MY PERSONAL property that should have been given to me when i asked to leave in the first place. I will speak with a lawyer on whether or not they broke the law by keeping my personal property when I (a volunteer), chose to leave & they refused to give me my property back so I could call my wife to pick me up. If you ask me that is THEFT! The bathrooms are DISGUSTING! The food is DISGUSTING! I went in weighing 150 & came out weighing 145. You would be better off living in the projects in ** than in that place. That place needs to be closed permanently! The only counselors with experience are ****, ************** & they are not there during the evening. The only good thing I can say.
