    I am disappointed and frustrated with the level of service that was provided to me, and I hope that by bringing this matter to your attention, we can work together to address this issue. I am a returning customer of Allure. I received services from ***** for a small area and had no bad reactions about 3 years ago. Overall i've had a decent experience until my last two treatments. My boyfriend gifted me with 6 sessions for a large area. During the treatments, I experienced a great deal of discomfort and pain that was not properly addressed by the technician. Additionally, the results of the treatment were poor, with little to no hair removal achieved and left my skin in a thin, scaly, burn-like condition. I showed clear signs of discomfort, I was sweating and yelping with each zap. So badly that ***** decided to wrap the session up early. She seemed a bit apprehensive to reschedule my next appointment but I proceeded to do so despite my discomfort. After my appointment I spoke with a friend and shared my unpleasant experience. My friend assured me that her experience had been nothing like mine. She shared her technician with me and when I called her I was advised that I should not be experiencing discomfort, burning, or scabbing of any type despite my skin tone. She also suggested that their equipment may be cheap and/or not appropriate for my skin type. A few days prior to my follow up appointment, I had reached out to ***** via phone call to express my concerns and apprehension to endure another session. ***** urged that the skin reaction I acquired was normal for my skin type and it was supposed to be painful because of my complexion. Despite attempting to address these issues with the company, they were unwilling to provide any resolution or compensation for the poor service I received. This lack of accountability and customer service is unacceptable and I believe it warrants further investigation.I am hopeful that the BBB can assist me in resolving this matter and hold this company accountable for their poor service. It would be a shame if another person would be condemned to the pain and discomfort of these services without giving the proper notice in advance.

    Dear BBB, 

    On receipt of your letter on May 29, 2023 we became aware of client - ***** ***** complaint.  

    This is our first awareness of complaint.  We immediately called ***** ***** follow up treatment.  ******* has decided to return to the Allure Spa for continue her treatments with a different tech she indicates that she will be withdrawing her complaint with BBB in writing.
