      My son, *** *******, was in braces in 2023 through Katsur Dental. Our insurance covered $1,500. Beginning in August of 2023, my dental insurance changed from *************************** (who covered $1,500 for braces) to ****** (United Concordia to pay $2,000). Katsur never submitted the braces to **************** and we overpaid for braces by about $125. I spoke with ***** ************** at Katsur and she said I had to call United Concordia, but I don't know the dental codes to tell the insurance company. Their customer service number for **************** is ************.

      Both of the insurance companies were billed correctly.  On the original contract the insurance was expected to pay a total of $1500, between both insurance companies we received a total of $1593.72 giving the account an over payment of $93.72.  On 3/24/2024 there was a refund issued to the credit card ending in 6505 for $93.80.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      The dental insurance provided originally by *************************** provided $1,500 in coverage (the figure you based our monthly payments on.) ****** provided an additional $2,000 of coverage (you should know), thereby bringing coverage to $3,500 since the insurance will stack. 

      PLEASE PROVIDE PROOF THAT YOU CONTACTED BOTH INSURANCE COMPANIES AS THE **** IS NOT ADDING UP FOR ME. IT WOULD IMPLY THAT ONE PROVIDER DENIED COVERAGE. IF SO, PLEASE PROVIDE THAT DOCUMENTATION AS WELL.

      I did not see ****** on any of the documentation that was sent to me. We now go to another provider for my daughter and both insurances worked. I don't understand the problem. It's about a $125 difference overall. That would be helpful with four kids in this economy.

      Saw this provider last year and had panoramic image at that time. Made an appointment, being careful to check with their employee that there would be no charge to me this time. I was assured, "no charge". This appointment, they did another panoramic image (I even asked why). I was told "dentist has to see xray".

      A week later I received a bill for $30 (copay on a panoramic image). My issue is I was vigilant in ensuring I would not be paying anything.

      If they did this just one year ago, why would they need another one this year?

      I’ve been trying to contact the business for about 2 weeks regarding my appointment. No one answers the phone. I had a person who’s friends of the receptionist call and she answered immediately. Coming into the office I decided to call while in the waiting room the phones aren’t even on. When asked the receptionist about this she stated “we are short staffed” Very unprofessional and rude
