As of October 1, 2012 based on past complaint activity, the BBB has requested that the company address concerns that consumers have brought to our attention in regards to mishandling of their income tax returns. Specifically requested is timely processing of their income tax forms, timely receipt of refunds due consumers as well as timely responding to consumers who contact the company.
On November 8, 2012 the BBB became aware of further information posted on the Central Tax Bureau of PA, Inc. website, http://centaxgroup.com which states "On September 21, 2012, Central Tax Bureau of Pennsylvania, Inc. a/k/a CENTAX ceased operations. On November 5, 2012, the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County approved a receiver for CENTAX.
