I bought a new house with a brand new furnace that Vrobel's told me was under warranty. The furnace quit working I called they still said it's under warranty (about 2 years old). They did not show up at all the first appointment I made then I rescheduled and they found the problem while on the phone with the boss the employee said this s warranty work. They ordered the part and came back about 4 or 5 days later to say it wasn't that part it was a wire they didn't have properly hooked up. So they said it's fixed and sends me a bill stating that the part is warranty not the labor now?

This is the first we were made aware of this situation, as *** ***** has never contacted us. We were notified of *** *****’s intentions via a negative Google review the day before we received the letter from the BBB.
The furnace was originally installed on 2/19/2020, 2 ½ years earlier, by a customer who then sold the property to *** *****. Vrobels Heating & Cooling does not have an agreement or contract with *** *****, and this is the first time we ever worked for *** *****. *** *****’s complaint states “he bought the home with a brand-new furnace that he says Vrobel’s told him was under warranty”. This is very unlikely. We offer 1 year labor warranty to the original owner and the manufacturer offers a 5-year parts warranty that can be extended to 10 years if equipment is registered to the original purchaser of equipment. A buyer of a property can get the manufacturer’s warranty transferred to them, from the original purchaser of the equipment, if submitted. To get a warranty part from the manufacturer, the warranty must be transferred by the original owner to the buyer within 60 days of purchasing the property. Trane is under no obligation to warranty this part, unless the warranty was transferred to the new owner, which in this case it was not. All furnace manufacturers have similar policies. Trane has no records showing this transfer to *** *****.
Enclosed you’ll find the Trane warranty showing he never purchased the equipment or that the warranty was ever transferred to him. Yes, the property houses the equipment mentioned and was installed by us, but neither Vrobels Heating & Cooling nor Trane are under any obligation to provide any warranty parts. To help *** *****, we were fortunate enough to get Trane to warranty the blower motor he needed. This saved *** ***** several hundred dollars. Retail value of the motor without labor for installation is $666.59. *** ***** was aware there would be a $99.00 diagnostic fee for us to come out and diagnose, and then there would be a charge for repairs needed. The work was done for $183, and we feel we justifiably charged *** ***** for this repair. The labor we had involved was 4.5 hours. That doesn’t even meet our cost of employees’ wages and benefits. We find this was very generous and he still has not paid for services rendered. He spoke of the first appointment being rescheduled due to us being held up on a prior call and he was unable to be at the home. We rearranged some appointments and came up with an agreeable schedule. On 6/20/2022, our senior tech “Shane” arrived at 8:02am at *** ** **** ******* ********** ** ***** and per his notes these are his findings …

Shane then returned to the main office and had Diana, our office clerk, contact Trane to see about getting the motor covered. She got the motor covered and had them ship it directly to us.  Due to pre scheduled repairs, Shane was not available when the part came in and we had another Lead Technician go to install the motor. Due to Jay’s work schedule, his father met us at his home on Friday June 24th. Jay was not present at any scheduled times.
If *** ***** had an issue with our billing and/or there was an issue with the repair, we feel he has an obligation to contact us.  This was never done.
We ask that you consider our request to remove this claim against our company as we feel we went over and above to please *** *****.

      Very truly yours,
      Harry J V***** Owner/Manager

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I had talked to the talked to the The one lady in the office about my bill on the phone Mrs C******* and she said she would look into it. Never heard back. #1 As far as me  not being home on the days of the warranty work I was at my house both days as I was off the week for vacation. So Harry V***** is telling a straight out lie again. #2 The two yes 2 techs not one as Mr. V***** clams that came the 2nd time did NOT put a new blower in as they said ot was a bare wire in the switch and they took the new blower back to the shop with them. #3 As it's my main complaint all the employees told me warranty work not parts so that was a straight lie to make me pay. This is the first time Mr. V***** has said anything about this and he has no clue what really went on. #4 The Google feedback. They had sent me a few text messages to leave a review so I did a honest review and he doesn't like that it was the truth and not a 5 star review. #5 the image Vrobel's shared on your site Is the first time I saw a detailed bill I only got a paper stating I owed money for warranty work.

      Regards,
