    I had Superior Seamless gutters install gutter guards on my 2 story high seamless gutter on May 16, 2023. I noticed on the next few rains that water was pouring out of that gutter near the center. When I went up to take a look I saw gaps in the guards and other issues. I complained to the company that their work was unacceptable and they had a crew of 3 guys come out and they were there for 3 minutes, the owner then informed me the fascia board was pulled away from trusses causing the gutter guard issues. I went up over my porch roof in the only area I could reach to remove the gutter guards and reattach the fascia board to the trusses. Thats when I saw the standing water, mud, leaves and weeds. I asked the company owner to have his crew back out to remove the unacceptable work he did and to use my screws to reattach the fascia board and gutter, and then put the guards back on. He refused to do any more work for me. Note that this all transpired in a little over a month, so the fascia/gutter issue was there when they installed the guards, the pictures show some screws they installed on the fascia side of the guards to try to hold it on because of the issues. I would of paid extra for any proper work needed done prior to or even after the poor installation if they would of let me know. Now I have to find someone else to take off the guards and fix the remaining area of fascia/gutter that they would not do. I would like them to either refund or finish the job properly. I paid them $175 (ck# ****)

    To whom it may concern;

    on or around the 21st of April,  Superior Seamless Gutters was contracted via verbal agreement to clean and install approx. 45’ of Leaf guard on the upper section of Mr ******* home in ********** ***  The job was completed and Invoice ***** for $175 was paid without question.  Approximately  3-4 weeks ago Mr ******* contacted me to inform my that a piece or guard was improperly installed.  Mr ******* continued on how horrible a company we were and that our work was unprofessional using several inappropriate words and continuing to tell me my company sucked!  A month had passed with no word of any dissatisfaction until this phone call.  I immediacy informed Mr ******* that we guarantee all work.  SSG has been in business for 17 years serving tri state area with no BBB claims or complaints.   SSG has a five star rating with several companies. 


    Within 7 business days we dispatched a truck to address Mr ******* complaints.   Hunter, my #1 lead, inspected the guard installation and discovered that the Gutter and fascia board itself were pulling away from the home and causing this issue.  This was subsequent to our install and not caused by SSG.  May I add that SSG did not install any of Mr ******* Gutters, this was done by another company prior to us meeting.  


    After our findings I contacted Mr ******* to discuss.  He was irate and insisted that it was our issue to fix and that his gutter needed to be removed and reinstalled by SSG.  At this point I had been verbally abused by him and made the decision that I didn't care to work for him any longer and he would need to find another contractor.  He was beside himself that I said no.  He continued that he had 14 homes and wanted us to do work on them.  I again said that I didn't care to engage business with him.   He then threatened to contact the BBB and report me.  SSG has done nothing to cause any of this said damage and will not work for Mr. ******* ever again.  While there are many sites that rate contractors there are none that warn contractors of such consumers that speak and treat us like this.  This is his attempt to discredit a reputable company.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    I did not question the installment of the gutter guards at first, because the work performed was 2 stories high and I trusted that they would do their job properly.

         I was out of town for 2 weeks after the install and came back with water pouring out of the gutters on the next rain we had.  After that, I went up to the only area I could reach on my back porch roof to look at the issue.  I found the gutter guards gapping and twisted.  Then I removed a guard and noticed twigs, mud, leaves and weeds growing in the gutter (could not have all this in gutter after guards were installed).  I then notified Superior Seamless Gutters and informed them their work was done “half assed”.  

         After the company’s lead guy inspection. I was notified of the fascia pulling away from my trusses.  This damage was not subsequent, because the gutter guards were installed with extra screws in odd places to try to keep the guards from twisting over the gutters.  This damage was not caused by the installer, but should never been installed over the damage gutters until the proper repairs were made.  

         I asked Superior Seamless Gutters to come back (no cursing) and reinstall the guards properly and the owner refused to do the work and told me to call the BBB or take him to court, that he did not care.  I am only asking to have the service I paid for, done right.
