On 11/4/22 I purchased NIKE kdtrey shoes for $102. Almost 2 mnth later the shoes are coming apart at the seams. Was told by Dicks I need to contact NIKE I filed a claim and got denied. No tag was ever on inside of the shoe to state manufacturing date. I was sold knock offs from Dicks sporting goods. I am out money and can't get a refundBusiness Response

I received dirty, worn and scuffed shoes from dicks sporting good I bought them online and to my surprise they sent them to me dirty when I expected them to be brand new. This was a gift and when I called to complain and to come to a solution they refused to make it right saying that there was nothing they can do even after I sent them images of the shoes literally a hour after they were originally delivered. The lady asked me for my credit card information to recharge me for the shoes to be resent instead of offering a solution it making the moment right. I’m not asking for free shoes but it would be right to ATLEAST discount the inconvenience or send me a new pair of shoes. Instead of charging me twice for their mistake. On Saturday, 1/14/23 around 1pm my fiancé and I were shopping at Dick's Sporting Goods Plymouth, MA (Colony Place) store. We found a Project Rock sweatshirt that we liked for him. There were at least a dozen of them on display on the rack. It was a white hooded sweatshirt with the Rock bull logo on the chest and it said “Project Rock” on the sleeve. When we got to the register the cashier scanned the item and despite there being a tag and bar code on the item, he said he could not sell it to us. A manager came over and said that the item had not yet been released and also refused to sell it. I have never had something like that happen in a store before. If the item was advertised and available on the floor the purchase should have been honored. We didn’t even have anyone offer to hold the item for us to purchase at a later time. A manager told us that the item would be available for sale on 1/30/2023 but still refused to sell it despite it being available for purchase. Purchased a $25 Dicks Sporting Goods gift card on 12/22/22. On 12/26/22 the recipient, my nephew, went to his local DSG store to make a purchase but the cashier said there was $0 balance. I immediately called the customer service number which transferred me to the gift card department. The customer rep was understanding and informed me the card was used online on 12/26/22 @12:38pm by a **** ******* from Livermore, CA. This is NOT my nephew nor close to where he lives. The customer rep even told me the items ordered: LA Lakers hat, toddler size clothing, etc and that multiple gift cards were used for payment. Aware that my purchased gift card was among the ones used and that my nephew has the actual gift card in his possession with the PIN still covered (a PIN is needed to make an online purchase) the customer rep told me that this online order would be canceled and a replacement gift card would be sent to my nephew. I provided my nephew's contact information. If there were any further issues, I was given a Case #****** to refer to. After not receiving a replacement gift card nor any updates I made a follow up call. I was told the case had been closed with the reason being "gift card was used". I was recommended to send an email to **********@dcsg.com which I attached pics of my receipt, authorization#, and the actual gift card with the PIN still covered. If the online fraudulent order was canceled then the funds of the gift card should still be available. A replacement gift card is expected since it was neither stolen nor lost and I was told that the online order would be canceled and a replacement gift card would be sent to my nephew. Still no reply received by me or my nephew from DSG as of 1/17/23.Business Response

I submitted photos of the receipt, authorization, and actual card. The gift card is in our possession with the PIN still covered, which is needed to make online purchases, yet this online order made by unknown ***. of Livermore, CA was not found as fraudulent?? In regards to the customer rep who told me the online order will be canceled and a replacement card will be sent to my nephew, DSG failed to train her correctly. It is Dick's Sporting Goods mistake and therefore should offer to try to make it right with the customer.

Wow, I will never think of this company the same ever again! After trying to complete an order in early December after my reward expired (from birthday, previous purchases, etc.) I contacted their online chat customer support and initially talked with representative Mhelen who was very pleasant and helpful and sent me a secure form to input my credit card information to execute the final order total of $1.41.
I explained all of the issues I was having with what should have been a simple order and they looked into everything and agreed that the automatically escalated expedited shipping to Hawaii of $24.99 plus my $30 reward would be credited against the total of the cart for pending Order #*********** and ScoreCard#: ************ .
We were disconnected and this has resulted in me talking to multiple representatives who tried to resolve the issue and were disconnected or tried to unsuccessfully transfer me to a supervisor.
After two weeks of this shockingly unacceptable mistreatment and issues I finally called and the unprofessionalism and empty promises grew even worse!
Today, I was cursed out, talked over, thrown insults at, and talked to like a subordinate or child by a white male representative in Ohio named "Robert" who just totally turned this into something else, which triggered this complaint that I plan to pursue a formal internal complaint against given his totally uncalled verbal, etc abuse of me in the phone "conversation" about this situation!
I have attached all of the chat transcripts in screenshot format, but I unfortunately do not have a record of the wholly inappropriate, unprofessional, terrible, and uncalled for call voice log of my encounter with "Robert!"
All of this for 1 simple order to use my birthday reward! How disgusting! My opinion of this company has *DEFINITELY* decreased proportionally. They clearly have internal processes and issues that caused all of this and it didn't have to happen! Wow! ??Business Response

[First off, there was no mutually agreed upon resolution because I had only received the DSG support message and not a reply to my concerns. It was the same typical process and pattern of the past month.Furthermore, I have used the BBB in the past and I have never had a respondent reply like this using my name as XXX because everyone knows that the BBB redacts data, etc and that it wouldn't have been necessary. This is the only time that I have seen this. Moreover, the tone of the curt message seems to be that one thinks that this situation is funny or amusing and I am here to say strongly that it is not, especially after being talked to the way I was by your Robert employee. I don't think that these misspellings, etc. are appropriate or amusing in any way and it speaks volumes about this company's attitude in this situation.
I used to like Dick's Sporting Goods, but now my opinion has changed. If this isn't resolved through the BBB I will file additional third party complaints. This is ridiculous. I just simply wanted to use my reward and execute a simple order!!! ?????????

White man and white women act like their working but they keep being in your space and touching clothes while you are trying to find clothes. No personal space to shop as a black women. Everything you look up you see a white dicks associate in your face or staring at you. Very uncomfortable and racist. I was followed all the way until checkout and then the white men wanted to play cashier. Costumer service sucks because white people think black women don’t have any money. 12/16/2022 paid for boots, shipment due date 12/27, no boots, tracking (no shipment date available), called Dick's, refunded money but said I could keep boots when they arrived, they arrived 12/30 (2 weeks late), BUT THERE WAS ONLY 1 BOOT IN PACKAGE. Chatted online with Clarissa (have script, if needed), and was told yes 1 boot for $199.99. Who sells 1 boot for that price? Isn't it normal to sell 2 boots as a pair? She didn't know. She ended conversation. I got disgusted and am contacting you on what to do? How can you sell 1 boot? Please advise. What do I do with 1 boot for someone who has 2 feet? On December 30, 2022, I purchased a Schwinn bike from Dick's Sporting Goods in Arlington, TX (3891 S Cooper St.) for $449.99 (excluding tax). The employee of Dick's filled the tire with air prior to our departure. On the following day, December 31, 2022, we went to ride the bike and the front air of tire quickly lost air. We went back to Dick's on that day and told an employee the issue and they stated that the tire just needed a new tube, which they could easily replace. We agreed and they replaced the tube. On January 2, 2022, we attempted to ride the bike again and the same front tire soon went flat. We went back to Dick's again that day and told them the issue. The employee and the manager could not explain why this issue was occurring and stated that the entire tire would need to be ordered and replaced. We asked for an exchange since the bike was defective when sold to us. They refused and said because had "ridden the bike" it could not be exchanged. We explained, that we just purchased the bike and can't actually ride it because the front tire can't hold air. They again said they would not exchange the bike despite its defect even though their return policy states that damaged products can be returned within 90 days. The in-store manager told us to call corporate. We called Dick's corporate number and the individual on the phone stated that since the purchase was made in-store there was nothing that he could do and that we would need to work with the in-store manager. I asked for someone else to speak to and he said there was no one else to talk to. We then requested to speak to someone from their legal team but we were told they do not have an internal legal team. He then stated he would send my issue to risk management and call the in-store manager to find a solution and would call me back but I have not received a call as of the time of filing this report.Business Response

An order for 1 item was placed on Dicks website on Dec 17th. The Dicks website specifically guaranteed delivery by Dec 24th or the item would be free. I contacted Dicks via their website and talked remotely with a representative who offered me $20.00 off the item but verified with management that no, item would not be free. Today is Dec 31st and said item is yet to be delivered. This is blatant false advertisement. Dicks FB page customers have similar stories. I want this business to keep the promise they made, and if they don’t, I want the BBB to give them the rating they deserve for their false advertisement.Business Response
