I fractured my wrist on 1/26/23 and I went to the urgent care in my county and I was referred some place else to get further medical treatment. The established I went to is Premier Orthopedics in East Norriton **** ********* **, East Norriton, Pa *****. I was x-rayed and given a temporary cast without any medication. I had to wait till the following business day so I can get proper medications for the extreme pain I was in and I did not receive any medicine on Friday. I came back on Wednesday 2/1/23 because that's when my doctor was going to be back in the office. I have several complaints against this establishment. First I want to make a complaint against the employee name ******* ****** ***** Division Administrator at Premier Orthopedics refused me medical treatment and is very unprofessional. I was double charged for my x-rays and cast.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/06/2023

The complaint you received from our patient ***************** is inaccurate.

This patient was sent to us from ********* after they could not provide the patient with a splint. We scheduled a same day appointment and the patient was casted (not a temporary cast as stated) on Friday 1/27/23. She called the office to request pain medications on Monday and was advised to take ****** and/or ******* to manage the pain. On Tuesday the patient called back requesting pain medication and we scheduled the patient for 2/1/23 because she stated the cast was too tight. On her visit 2/1/23, we removed the cast and re-applied a new cast and did not charge the patient.

********************** gave her a prescription for *******#* which I called into the pharmacy before the patient left the office. The pharmacist called in the meantime and left a message on the voicemail that they needed clarification of the directions on the prescription which we did not receive right away. ***** called, her mother called and a “friend” called the office all of them acting completely unprofessional telling my staff and finally myself that we were all incompetent and cursing and threating with a complaint to the BBB.

Meanwhile, I checked the messages and called the pharmacist back and while holding for over 35 minutes, the patient and her mother showed up at the office to scream and curse at my staff. After I spoke to the pharmacist and clarified the message, I came out the front desk and was met with hostility from both the patient and her mother asking me what the problem was and why wasn’t it handled right away. She became violent and screamed profanities as she walked through our waiting room and out the door, telling me would not be back.

The patient was charged her initial visit fee of $250 for treatment of the fracture and casting. She was not charged for the visit on 2/1/23 and I did not refuse her treatment. Nor will I refuse future treatment.
