I called the business because I need two drains snaked - a bathtub and a sink. The plumber was here for 45 minutes and charged $375. When I asked about the total, as the same job typically costs me $150, they said it was because I live "out of town". Please note, I live in Albion, PA, Erie County, which is 26 miles away from the business. When I called the company directly to dispute the cost, the owner was openly rude, told me that I didn't care about the techs who came to my home and "had to put food on the table for their families" and repeatedly told me that "obviously I have no regard for truck drivers"??! I am not willing to pay what amounts to $100 EACH WAY to and from the business, plus the $150 to snake the drain. I also cannot believe that the business owner made NO effort to be even respectful or polite or discuss a compromise with me - at one point, he literally told me, after saying I don't care if his workers can put food on the table, that he'll just rip up my check, because he doesn't need my business that badly. I tried to negotiate a different price, however he would not negotiate and told me, initially, he would rip up the check - then he said he will take me to court if I put a stop payment on the check. I would be happy to pay a reasonable, negotiated fee with this company, definitely the $150 hourly rate to clear both drains and even a reasonable travel fee, if the business would be reasonable enough to work with me.

I also feel it important to note that they left my home a total mess, when they left, with black, disgusting marks all over my tub and floor, screws missing from my access panel, and streaks of grease and what smells like sewage all over my bathroom. They also tracked dirt, mud, and drain material all over my carpeting throughout the entire house.
