  Last April this company began work on a house for me. Most was completed. However, the last part was to install some closet doors. A pair of bifold doors needed to be ordered. He was paid $260 for the doors. $60 for material and $160 for installation. After this he hasnt returned. Over the next nine months I would contact him and get the usual runaround that they were back ordered. He always blamed Lowes. I started checking Lowes and to my surprise found what was needed in stock. I again contacted him, now January of this year, and he told me hed return the money. Three weeks passed with no further word. I contacted him again and told him I wanted the money by the end of the week. He again blamed Lowes even after telling him the door was in stock. So I told him Id go to Lowes and check the order myself. I had them search by his business number and what Id come to suspect turned out to be true. There was no record of the doors ever being ordered. I contacted him again and he said it was under a different phone number. Something youd think hed have mentioned when I told him I was going up. He again told me hed refund the money and several weeks later Ive not received a *****.

  I had a metal building that had rust on it and wanted it painted. He agreed to primer the building and paint the building. He guaranteed it not to rust show through or peel. It wasn't 6-8 months and it was peeling and flaking and the rust is showing through. I contacted Russ and he called me back. I said there's a problem and told him what happened now he wont answer my calls or return my calls. He said he would come look at it but that was 2 months ago or more. I tried texting him and he said its a maintance issue and that it needs to be kept up with and painted regularly. It hasn't even been a year. It shouldn't need repainted that quickly and he guaranteed it wouldn't need painted for a few years. I have contacted the paint dealer and they are willing to replace the paint but needs to be painted by one of the Sherwin Williams contractors and Russ wont call me back to even try to work this out.

   A response from Russ M***** owner of Absolute Painting and Drywall llc. ***** had called Sherwin Williams and they referred him to me, as we due multiple buildings such as his. As speaking with their general manager Dave D******* and using the best primer and topcoat the market has to offer, after prepping and pressure washing the entire structure. The structure which is approximately 50 years old and steel is rusted, (paint WILL NOT) stop rust, never has. As for the time frame in which it rusted again Noone can determine if it will rust again in a day, week or year, with our climate in Pennsylvania. I visited the site and all is normal with a steel building, we just apply the product. Has ***** contacted the steel manufacturer and ask them why their product continues to rust???  After ***** contacted Sherwin Williams, they agreed to supply him more materials which can be applied by anyone as this will be an ongoing issue, ***** may even do it himself. I do not take final payment until both parties are happy ( which took place) we cannot guarantee any structure against rust as I simply cannot control Mother Nature and the climate in which we live. A repair or an ongoing maintenance agreement will again be billed through our company.

  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

  When I called Sherwin Williams they told me that he or a sherwin williams approved contractor would have to get the product and apply it so I can not do it myself. Also he said when putting it on that it would last for years. I didnt last 6 months and also it is not just the rust coming through but also paint peeling in spots and that has nothing to do with the rust. When I spoke with him he said he would come out and look at it and see what the issues were and what needed done to correct it and has still never stopped to look at the building or what is wrong with it. He has also never even tried to reach out to me as a maintance issue to repaint it with the replacement product that they offered. Even if there was a cost involved he never gave me that option. He just stopped replying or answering calls.
