I was having tooth pain in July and scheduled an appointment at Aspen Dental on Union deposit road. I was seen on 7/20 and told the issue was because of my gums and I needed to pay for a periodontal cleaning. The periodontal cleaning was done on 7/27. The pain was still there and I was then told I needed to get a filling and crowns and was scheduled for an appointment on 8/17. They completed one filling and two crown preps that day. The pain was worse, but I was told that would be normal at that time and they scheduled to see me again on 8/31. On 8/31 they did the crown inserts, it was extremely painful and I told them that. They said sorry but that was normal. I called to schedule multiple times in September because there was still an extreme amount of pain. I was seen again on 10/24 for them to re evaluate the pain that was still occuring. My teeth still hurt walking away that day and they told me it was normal. It has been 3 more weeks and I'm still having an enormous amount of tooth pain, headaches from the pain, and difficulty chewing as well as difficulty drinking anything even remotely cold or hot. I have paid $2667.80 so far for services that have not corrected the problem, as well as missed numerous hours of work (approximately 6 hours at $20 an hour) costing me an additional $120. I would like the $2667.80, that I paid for services, to be refunded so I can get the teeth corrected at another dental facility and have no more pain.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Just wanted to do a quick recap. I just spoke with ****, she was very polite. There seems to be a misunderstanding though. She is going to reach back out to you but I wanted to recap on the request. I am not looking to be scheduled for another appointment. I have been to aspen multiple times to get it handled. They just keep doing work and informing me it will hurt for a few more weeks than be good. It has been months now with constant pain as well as multiple appointments making me miss work and lose out on income. I am going to a different dentist on December 5th to get my teeth fixed. I would like a refund for the money spent on my teeth ($2667.80). If I can be provided my xrays or they can be sent to locust lane dental group, then I don't need the money for them back as I won't need to pay for them again. If I can't be given the xrays or have them sent to the new dentist then I would like those funds returned as well.

I'm hoping that clarifies the resolution I was looking for.

The business did not address the issues within the complaint. They called me and tried to schedule another appointment and then told me to come fill out a form to request the xrays. That didn't resolve anything nor did the address the issue with the complaining of me paying almost $3000 to have work not done.

    Regards,
