    I had a screening colonoscopy done by a Penn Medicine doctor (Limerick, PA office) on November 7th, 2023. A pathology report was issued the very next day to me from ***** ****** (the hospital was in a ***** ****** hospital) and I asked Penn Medicine (###-###-####) to have the clinical team explain the results to me since it was in written in medical jargon. To date, after multiple phone contacts all promising a call back within 2 days, no one has called me back. I even asked for a supervisor to call me back and was promised a call back which did not happen either. I was given a phone number for Penn Medicine guest relations (###-###-####) and all I get is a voice mail box to leave a message which I did 2 days ago. Still no response from anyone at Penn Medicine. How can medical facility conduct business like this? If needed, I can send a copy of the pathology report if that is needed but for now, I'll leave it at this. Thank you for any assistance you can provide in this matter. I simply want Penn medicine to respond to me regarding the pathology report.

    I did get a call back from a ***** at Penn Medicine Guest Relations who gave me a contact and phone number to call who would be able to help with this.  I was told to contact ******************* at ************ which I did and left a voice message about the lack of call back from the medical center to my repeated attempts to receive a call back.

    Guess what - I did not get a call back from ******************* either.  This seems to be a pattern (no return calls) with Penn Medicine.

    ****************************, MD, FACG Gastroenterology was the physician who performed the screening and it was her office that I was attempting to get a call back about the pathology report from ************.  The procedure was performed at a ************ hospital which is why I received the report directly from them but it is full of medical jargon that I do not understand and was asking for interpretation to no avail.

    The clinical team called me back today and gave me the tests results I was asking about.

    This does not excuse their lack of communication up to now but at least I did finally get the results I was after.

    Whew- Like pulling teeth!

    I don't know what you want to do with this complaint as it is now closed as far as I'm concerned unless someone from Penn Medicine wants to contact me to understand the problem that caused this complaint to be opened in the first place.
