My husband and I purchased a pool and hot tub the first week in March. Both were delivered quickly but that was the last of the good news. We own a farm and business ourselves so we prepped the site with sand and such but then used Valley Pool and Spas installation company (BT Installation) for the actual pool set up. They make you pay upfront and only correspond via text message. Don't try to call, they refuse to answer. Understanding this Spring has not cooperated with anything that doesn't give anyone the right to be rude and unprofessional. We were rescheduled 7 times and just got our pool up the beginning of June. Be advised though BT Installation does not hook up the heater or anything past the pump. I guess that goes back to Valley who then wants more money and wouldn't be for another month. I didnpay attention when we bought the pool but didn't recall those details. Again, that isn't my issue. It's that neither company tries anything to compensate the customer for anything. We own a business as well, in fact two so I know the impact of making the customer happy as the word of mouth is our lifeline.

Had a tear in our pool liner so we trusted valley pool to give us a new liner and install. We paid over a thousand dollars to have this completed. They hired some contractors to come over and do the install, well the contractors decided they wanted an additional $500 to complete the job, we thought that was suspicious and we called valley pool and they agreed and told us "It sounds like they are trying to scam you out of money" Valley pool is telling us they have never heard of owing extra money after we already paid and agreed to a contract with Valley Pool. They said it didn't sound right and they were glad we called them because the whole thing was suspicious. They said they will probably cut the contract with these workers because of them acting this way. We are also told these are seasonal workers and they are probably just trying to get more money before the summer season ends. We speak with the contactor while they are at my home and advise them this doesn't seem right and valley pool agrees. We tried to tell the contractor that if there is more money owed somehow they can talk to valley pool and valley pool can bill us. The contractor calls us " a cheap fu*k" throws insults at us and storms off the job saying he will not finish. As stated before we paid over a thousand dollars to Valley pool and spa to have this job completed. The job was NOT completed however we paid for it in full to be done. A day later we are informed by Valley pool and spa the manager wants to "stay neutral" and not get involved between the customer(us) and the contractor they hired to come to our home. They are unwilling to help us finish the job that we already paid in full for. Their tune changed completly from one day to the next, the first day calling the contractor they hired scammers and now they dont want to get involved? they were going to cut the contract with them...none of that happened. They took over a grand of our money and are leaving the job unfinished.

I bought a hot tub from Valley Pool and Spa. Three years later, I needed service, because it stopped working. Valley Pool and Spa sent a repair guy out. They made me pay a service fee of around $150 in order to come diagnose the problem. The guy came out, looked around for a few minutes, and then left. He said he believed I needed a new manifold. Valley Pool and Spa then said I would need to pay (in advance) for the manifold repair job so that they could come do the work. They explained that there was no way to know whether or not that was the actual problem until the work is done. They made clear that, if that service call didn't fix the problem, I'd have to pay in advance AGAIN in order to get them to come and figure out what was wrong. When I requested that they come do the wok and charge me for whatever it is once it's fixed, they refused. I was not confident in this situation, because the guy was literally there for a few minutes. I called Valley Pool and Spa repeatedly, asking if we could handle this the way EVERY other service provider does. They refused. I eventually called the manufacturer who agreed that the manifold was likely not the problem. They directed me to a repair service in the next town. That repair guy instructed me on the phone about what parts I likely needed. I bought them direct from the manufacturer. The guy came to my house, and fixed the whole thing inside of that one visit. My spa now works again, and it was not the manifold. Valley Pool and Spa was rude, unprofessional, AND wrong about what I needed. I will not use them again.

3yrs ago I went and purchased a pool heater they recommended. The PENTAIR MASTERTEMP 125. They came out and installed the heater late summer of 21. At the beginning of the season of 22 I noticed water leaking out of it. I called them. They told me to call PENTAIR. I did. PENTAIR sent out a tech to inspect for warranty. Well no warrenty coverage as they discovered chemical damage to the copper coils. I asked how. They asked if I had a bypass installed. I said no VALLEY POOL AND SPA OF CHARLEROI installed it and didn't put one in. So they explained how I needed one to bypass the heater when shocking and opening and closing etc. So I went to VALLEY POOL AND SPA to purchase another heater (same one) and explained I needed someone to come back out and install the bypass they were supposed to. A couple weeks later they came. And charged me a service call and parts and labor around $250 for something they should of done originally in the first place. I didn't argue with them tho. Now here we are on second heater. Not muck then a little over a year old. It has now threw an ignition code and won't stay lit. So I called VALLEY POOL AND SPA and spoke with the owner. He told me it would be 4WEEKS before he could send someone. Then says THEY PROBABLY CANT REPAIR IT ANYHOW. I asked why so they sell products they have no one to repair and why he wouldn't of told me that especially before buying a second heater from them. Adding up to over $4k. I asked him if he ever went to a new car dealership and purchased a car if they told him we'll sell u the car. But we can't fix it if there's a problem. He said I was ridiculous to think he had people that would know about all the 16,000 products he sold. I said I absolutely think you should. So I ended up fixing it myself. Was an easy fix. So I just want everyone that deals with VALLEY POOL AND SPA IN CHARLEROI to be aware that if there is an issue with any product you buy there that they are horrible at customer service

Back in April my wife bought a Pool package from Valley Pool & Spa at 3747 William Penn Hwy in Monroeville and finding out the company they use to install the pool was unable to install the pool due to a Telephone line that runs near our back yard. The line in not connected because we get Telephone service through our cable company and that line runs through the front of the house like to power lines. But we understand they still don’t want to be reliable. So when my wife called Valley Pool & Spa to explain the company they use to install the pools will not install the pool they said they will call us back. Well we waited and waited like 2 weeks and no call. So my wife calls them back and no answer, so she sends a Text or Email and they finally responded after the 30 day return policy has expired. Hmmmmm! And tells my wife there is nothing they can do, so my wife tell them she doesn’t want the pool and want to return it. Well they tell her they can’t sell it as new ( even though this pool still sits on the wood create in shrink wrap the same way they delivered it) so they will have to charge a fee to return it. So we decided we keep it and install it ourselves because we do not want to give them any extra money knowing they will resell this pool as NEW again and they know it. We was talking with our neighbors a few weeks ago telling them what happened and found out that the husband worked as a pool installer years ago and he is going to show us how to install it. We are going to wait until spring time now that summer is almost over. We got back $700 of the $800 fee to install this pool. We paid $100 just to tell us they can’t install the pool. They shouldn’t had delivered this pool until they found out first if the pool installer’s will install it or not. That’s the part that we are angry about.
