1 starWe have been more than dissatisfied with this company, from the purchasing experience, some of their services, and their finance department . One example of the poor service is that Our rotors and breaks were shot on a newly inspected vehicle, demonstrating that the car was not inspected in accordance with current pa regulation. Some of the service departments have been better than others, but others have been subpar at best . We are currently waiting for a refund due to refinancing our vehicle and the gap insurance that we previously had . In my opinion the refund is taking an excessive amount of time to issue. We provided the documented proof of our refinancing 5 weeks ago , and now they are saying they want documentation again . This is a relatively clear cut situation that *** Shorkey is dragging their feet on . We dont recommend *** Shorkey to anyone. It would seem that we are not the only ones that share that opinion of this company .Review fromSonya-Marie M

1 starMy name is *********** ** ******. For the past year and a half, I have served as the director of children’s ministries at the ****** ****** ************ ****** ** ********** ******* ** **** ********. I lead worship for children aged three to fifth grade. This past July 2023, I purchased a dark grey 2016 Hyundai Sante Fe from Jim Shorkey North Hills Toyota. This past Friday, September 15, 2023, my Sante Fe broke down on 376-East. After having the car towed to my house in Homewood, Angelo Towing performed diagnostics and confirmed that the car broke down due to a problem with the starter. The temporary tags are still on the car. When I had the car towed to the Toyota Service Center in the North Hills on Brown Lane (Ross Township) yesterday morning, September 16, 2023, the Service Representative told me that they would not be able to repair the car until Monday, September 18, 2023. I explained that I am a children’s minister and needed a car for work today, September 17, 2023. The Service Representative told me that he did not have a car to loan me. I asked him for a solution concerning how I should plan to get to work tomorrow (today). He shrugged his shoulders. I texted **** ********, the Sales Representative who sold me the car, to ask if he could assist with finding me a loaner. He never responded. I texted him again letting him know that I would be reaching out to the media. To date, I still have not received a response. I only work a part-time job at *****, earning about $900, once per month. I do not have discretionary income to catch an Uber or Lyft to work. In June 2023, I had to leave my home of 20 years abruptly due to intimate partner violence. That is why I purchased the Sante Fe in the first place. Mr. ******** is well aware of this. I guess he feels that he does not owe me an explanation or any solutions.Review fromSean S

These guys are con artists and cheats, they lie, misrepresent, and deceive. I was cheated out of money for canceling the service agreement and was punished for that. It took 2 months and numerous agencies to get them to pay, and even when they did the money was short. Save yourself a lot of headaches and shop elsewhere. I will never buy from Jim Shorkey Ford ever again. Don't let the A+ rating fool you. These guys are snakes.Jim Shorkey Auto Group

We spoke to this customer on 8/15/23, and explained his warranty has been cancelled. The refund of the warranty, since it was part of his loan and amount financed, goes back to the lender and is applied to his loan. This is standard procedure for refunding a service plan that is financed, to return the money to the lien holder. If he monitors the balance of his loan when making payments, he will see it applied in the near future (as it may take some time to be applied and reflect on his balance). If further assistance is needed, we are here to help. Thank you!

After the sale, I have nothing good to say about them. Their service department is a joke. They are clueless. I was told to take my **** truck to their sister dealer in Wexford since it was close to my house and I purchased the extended warranty. Which was not true at all. They told me to take it to ****. After I got my oil consumption complaint looked at, I was told to bring it back after ***** miles and have the oil checked. I called when I had ***** miles on it to schedule an appointment only to be told that they gave me the wrong information and I was supposed to bring it back every 200 miles. *** Im back to square one. The feeling I get from them is that they can af**** to lose a one vehicle customer and not affect their business. Theres no sense of caring for the customer or willingness to put in any kind of effort to make things right. Every time I deal with them, I feel like Im just a bother to them and an annoyance.Side note. My truck has been there for almost a month. Not one phone call from them. Ive had to call every few weeks or drive out and show up just to get an update. I reached out to the sales manager before taking my truck not to have it appraised while its there and have them buy it because I am absolutely done with them. I have received 3 calls and 1 text message since its been there asking me to bring it to them. I informed them that they already have it in their service department and can go appraise it there. 4 weeks later, no one called with a price yet. Absolutely no follow through on anything. What a shame. This is my fifth **** and now I am going to trade it in on a Toyota. *** Shorkey has ruined it for me.Jim Shorkey Auto Group

**************** - we sincerely apologize for any miscommunication and delays in updates. At this time, we are waiting on **** to approve the additional repairs needed for your truck. We are doing everything we can to expedite this process on your behalf, however **** has now requested further disassembly of the engine and additional pictures in order to get the repairs approved. We have started this process and have all of the parts ordered and in hand to get the repairs completed, but again our hands are tied until everything is approved by ****. We understand how extremely frustrating this may be, but we promise to give you updates once we have them approved and we start them so you have a better idea of the timeframe of completion. Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you; we hoped that having you in one of our loaner vehicles while the repairs were completed would have lessened the impact of not having your own vehicle for such an extended period of time, however we understand your urgency to be back on the road in your truck. Feel free to reach out to me directly at ********************** for any questions or concerns. Thank you.
Sincerely,

I was given a 2013 Dodge Durango with $7,000 down, newly exterior but major hidden issues. When test driven I didnt bother to take it off the lot. But when I purchased it and drive it home there was transmission fluid splashed all over the back of it and the inside cabin filled with fumes and smoke. I immediately took it back and asked for my money back but the store manager was arrogant and rude and told me I couldnt have a refund because the bank had already paid them from the loan I took out. They claimed they fixed it only to later find out I needed transmission cooler lines. Months later the check engine light came on and Auto Zone told *** need an Evap Hose but they said I had to pay $1,000 for an oil pressure switch, only to find out later it needed an oil pump. The car started overheating recently and making a hissing noise and I was instructed to have the thermostat fixed. I found out after it needs a water pump. Now the left Axle is banging and theyre saying I need to replace that as well. The check engine light came right back on after the last repair and I cant even get it inspected. This car has brought me nothing but sorrow and is robbing me blind and they dont even have the decency to give me a loaner vehicle to drive until all of these repairs are made. They beat around the **** telling me about minor repairs while they hid the fact that there were major repairs needed and now my warranty is up and everything is falling on me. The process is taking so long to get resolved that my daughter lost her job due to the issue with transportation! I would NEVER refer anyone to purchase a vehicle from these crooks. A friend of mine was having the same issues with them and she overheard the manager and a few other salesman making discriminatory remarks, saying the guy who sold us the vehicles needs to stop bringing people up there because all he does is find people he knows with either no money or bad credit. That is why we end up with the vehicles we get!Jim Shorkey Auto Group

****************,First and foremost, we are very sorry to hear that you are still having issues with your Durango. We take pride in never selling a vehicle that we know has current issues. We thoroughly inspect every vehicle to make sure they have zero issues when they leave our dealership. Unfortunately, occasionally issues arise after the vehicle is sold. We include a 3 month coverage to insure our work after the sale and I also worked with you on issues up until a year after the sale to do my best to take care of your vehicle concerns. With a 10 year old vehicle, things do start needing to be replaced. We will do our best to try and help alleviate these concerns with a resolution that will make sense for both of us. You will be hearing from our team to try and assist.*******,*** Shorkey ChevroletReview fromKen C

1 star2 different Shorkey dealers Jeep and Toyota that I have dealt with are not even worthy of 1 star. Drive far away and clear of this group. They lie and do not stand behind anything they said they fixed on a vehicle, 2020 Toyota. Had brakes and rotors shaking and vibrating that they said they replaced in December 2022 and it was still shaking and vibrating. Took it in again in March 2023 for same problem then got it back and it was still shaking and vibrating and they said once again it was road tested after the repairs. LIED!!! Charged $400-$500 each time and it still is shaking and vibrating and till this day they will not stand behind what the vehicle is doing when they never took care of the problem to begin with! This is a real safety concern when you apply the brakes and the entire vehice starts shaking and vibrating. Am concerned about an accident because it is hard to control when you apply the brakes driving at highway speeds. They will not address the isue and will not even get a manager to call back.Review fromOc C

1 starAfter tons of emails, using their online valuation tool, and confirming the details, I drove over an hour to this dealership to trade my car. They advertised they were giving 125% of KBB trade value for cars. My car was 7 months old and in pristine showroom condition. My KBB trade range was $38,829-43,848. Even if they only gave 100% of the lowest trade value ($38,829) I would be happy. But, what they offered me was $29,000 or 74% of KBB trade value. Using their online valuation came in at $37,290 which they refused to honor even though my car was in immaculate condition. There is a huge difference between 125% and 74% when valuing cars. The sales manager **** was arrogant, lied to my face, and wasted my evening!! Do not buy from this dealership!!!!Review fromStephanie S

1 starJim Shorkey Auto Group not only steals money from their customers, they do it to their staff as well! They take money from departments without any explanation. When asked about it, their answer is simply "we are allowed to do it." This is literally taking money directly out of the employees pockets, again, with ZERO explanation. When brought to upper management level, employees are told "that is the way it is". There is no respect for employees! Also, HR really needs to actually look into all departments and how employees are treated! They are aware of many issues but do nothing to protect them. It is sad when employee's who double profits in under a year, are treated like s*** and are literally losing money even though the company is making more money than ever! They change pay plans to make sure that even though their profits are through the roof, the employees get screwed! Save yourself the trouble! Do not shop or work for *** Shorkey!!!!!Review fromRebecca M

I am so extremely disappointed and unhappy with you guys. You literally scammed me out of money? You told me the price I got was the lowest you could go. You offered me the whatever the luxcare package is as an INCENTIVE to buy. You did NOT tell me I was PURCHASING a warranty. And then you CHARGED me for the luxcare package to keep my exterior and interior safe?? $1500 that you didn't tell me you were CHARGING me that you "threw in to make it a better deal". I am NOT obligated to get a warranty though I probably would have if you had been UPFRONT about what I was paying for?? I definitely would NOT have gotten the $1500 luxcare package?? I am APPALLED by you. I have left multiple voicemails with Jim Shorkey Ford with NO RESPONSE. No one calls me back but you guys have no problem texting me and asking things of me! My lease deal was up for around $11k and when I asked you how my loan is for $19k and that the math isn't mathing you told me THERE WAS A LOT OF TAXES AND FEES AND ILL GET A BREAKDOWN OF IT ALL AT THE END. Oh I didn't realize the care package that was $1500 was TAXES AND FEES. I didn't realize the warranty was TAXES AND FEES. You guys were also closed by the time I got all my paperwork. You messed up even putting the luxcare on my care and said I would have to bring it back which I havent?? No return calls?? You are ridiculous and I hope you and your whole company feels badly but I'm sure you don't because you probably got a nice fat commission check from ripping me off. And obviously no one at your company has cared enough to return my calls. Ridiculous.Jim Shorkey Auto Group
