    I gave Michael T*********** a check for $4250 as a deposit to fix my mom (*************************) roof on 7/10/2022. On 7/11/2022 he cashed the check. He was supposed to get a dumpster on 7/11 and start the work on 7/12. On 7/14 he texted me stating he couldn’t find a dumpster company and everyday after that was an excuse after another excuse. I have text messages to prove this. On 8/1 he told me he couldn’t do the work and that he would return the money back to me. Everyday he tells me he’s bringing me the money, going to the bank, getting a loan from his brother or he’s sick. This is over two weeks now. I need help getting my money back.

    To Whom It May Concern: 

    Please accept this letter as our response to the complaint filed by ******** ***** on behalf of her mother, ****** ******. We would like to respond in two different ways: 
    First, and most importantly, a full refund of $4,250.00 has been paid, for which we have receipts. IN ADDITION, due to the inconvenience to the customer, and well prior to the letter from the BBB of August 22, 2022, we offered to pay the difference between our lower price and the higher price of the new roofer, to be made in weekly instalments once the new roof is installed. 
    Now we would like to explain why this situation occurred: 
    1. We could not get a dumpster delivered to the customer's site. Everyone were so busy we were "on hold”; and 
    2. The singles were special order for this customer and took two (2) weeks to arrive at the supplier's. 
    3. We tried to stay in touch with the customer and communicate with the customer on a regular basis. Finally the customer would wait no longer. We told her what she refused to believe as true, but it is true. 
    Our inconveniences were very expensive to us: 
    A. The dumpster company charged us the full fee for the return of the empty dumpster.

    B. The shingle supplier charged us a 20% restocking fee on the custom order shingles.

    C. Not withstanding all the expenses, the customer received a full refund. 

    We believe that the customer's decision to cancel the contract was unwarranted, and that the situation was responsibly handled on our part. After due consideration please advise of the decision by the BBB.
