We closed our account out in August of 2022 but yet they keep invoicing us. I have had numerous conversations and email correspondence with ZERO resolution. I would like all invoices retracted to reflect our ZERO balance.Initial Complaint

The Aramark Corporation is the contractor at *******************************. The jail food service allows inmates to order fresh food. I put money in an inmates account (*********************** *****) so that he could order a pizza to be delivered for the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl was five (5) days ago and the pizza has never arrived. Apparently, this is a common problem; food is ordered by inmates, inmates are charged, and the food is never delivered. I was told that I could call "**********", an Aramark employee who works at the *******************************., I tried to contact ********** all week, leaving three voicemail messages per day, every day, and ********** did not respond to any of these messages. The pizza has still not been delivered. After learning that ********** works for Aramark, I contacted Aramark's "customer service" line. I was told that, since the order was placed from inside the facility, that Aramark has absolutely nothing to do with it and cannot provide any assistance. The only recourse available to the inmate is to file a grievance using a tablet provided by the facility. The grievance app on the tablet does not work and a paper form must be filled out. The COs have the forms but will not provide them to the inmates. It is well known inside the facility that if you order fresh food from Aramark that it may or may not arrive and that you have no recourse. You have lost your money.Aramark is running quite a scam on victims that have no recourse. This really needs to stop. Please help get this resolved. People should get what they pay for.Business Response

Re: Aramark Correctional Services, LLC’s Response Letter to Consumer Complaint
Dear Mr. *******,
I am responding on behalf of Aramark Correctional Services, LLC (“Aramark”) to the
correspondence submitted to the Better Business Bureau (“BBB”) by **** *****, Complaint ID #********,
dated February 21, 2023. After careful consideration of Ms. *****’s complaint, Aramark would like to
provide the below response.
Understandably there may be challenges with delivering iCare packages to incarcerated
individuals, given the security and strict rules at correctional facilities, which are outside of Aramark’s
control, and which may frustrate delivery of loved ones’ packages. Aramark always strives to deliver iCare
packages in a quick and efficient manner; however, we are ultimately subject to each facility’s delivery
policies.
We truly value our customers’ trust and confidence in us, and we endeavor to promptly resolve
any concerns. In the event a loved one does not receive their iCare package in a timely fashion, Aramark
encourages customers to contact our iCare Support Team, which is available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
E.T., seven (7) days a week. For questions regarding refunds, please refer to Aramark’s iCare refund policy,
which is available at the time of purchase and published at: ****************.
Thank you for your time and attention to these matters. Should you have any additional questions
or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at ###-###-#### and ***************************
Sincerely,

Sent to Aramark account executive in November 2022, and we are still being told that we are the party 'in breach of contract,' and that we are liable to continue contract through August of 2025. Please read below, as I have attached a copy of their contract and their email reply regarding my ability to refuse price increases, which enacts a breach of contract on Aramark's behalf, not *******'s behalf. ******* did the right thing and paid all open invoices once received, but NO ONE at Aramark contacted us when THEY decided to update their system to electronic only, and therefore were not able to send us our invoices in a timely manner! Makes it hard to us to comply, when they FAILED to contact us for an email address!!We have just started receiving these invoices electronically earlier this month, and therefore, had no knowledge or notification of price increases, as stated in the contract. Therefore, I was unable to REJECT those price increases within the 15 day period. The contract specifically states that we should have received a price increase notification, and mentions nothing about said notification being on our invoices and/or statements, where we had to search for them and inquire about them on our own. A notification should be a formal written letter, addressed to the company, stating what the price increases entail, and when they would take effect. Since we had no possibility of REJECTING the price increases on the invoices as we didn't receive them in a timely manner, nor did we ever receive a written notification detailing said price increases, this would be considered a breach of contract and the contract should be null and void as a result. While I appreciate your good faith gesture, I would like to have you present these facts to your legal team for further consideration, and waiver of any early termination fee you had previously mentioned. We need to move forward with cancellation of our contract.Customer Answer

Good Morning:
Aramark contacted me after submitting this request (case ********). The BRAND NEW general manager in Lexington, KY, ****, has been wonderful to work with, and I am satisfied with the contract addendum, and credit on account he has provided for overcharges on account.
As a result of ****'s actions, ******* will resume service with Aramark through the end of our original 5-year contract, first executed in August 2020. This contract will expire in August 2025, per email communication with *********
Can you please close my case/complaint, as I am satisfied with these concessions provided by ****?

WE HAVE BEEN WITH THIS COMPANY SINCE 1981. THE COMPANY HAS BEEN BOUGHT OUT 3 TIMES SINCE THEN. NOW IT IS ARAMARK. OUR SERVICE HAS BEEN HORRIBLE. WE HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR A COPY OF OUR CONTRACT WITH THEM SO WE CAN CANCEL THE SERVICE, WE HAVE OPENED 3 TICKETS TO TRY TO REACH A MANAGER OR SUPERVISOR. THE TICKETS ARE OPEN AND THEN CLOSED WITHIN A FEW DAYS WITH NO FOLLOW UP AND NO RESOLUTION. IN ORDER TO CANCEL SERVICES, WE HAVE TO GET THE CONTRACT TO JUMP THROUGH THE HOOPS THAT WILL ALLOW US TO CANCEL. THEY MAKE IT VERY DIFFICULT. WE AREN'T GETTING WHAT WE ORDERED AND PAID FOR, WE AREN'T GETTING ANY CALLS BACK, WE HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, WE DID SET AN APPOINTMENT LAST WEEK WITH A SUPERVISOR AND HE NEVER SHOWED UP. SINCE THEN, WE CALLED AND LEFT MESSAGES ASKING FOR SOMEONE ABOVE HIM OR A COPY OF THE CONTRACT AND WE ARE STILL GETTING NOTHING. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY WE HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. ON THEIR WEBSITE, IT SAYS, "PUTTING THE PEOPLE AND THE PLANET FIRST". THAT IS HILARIOUS. WE JUST WANT TO BE DONE WITH THIS COMPANY AND INFORM ANY OTHER COMPANY THAT MAY WANT TO USE THEM, THAT THEY WILL NOT BE TREATED NICELY OR RESPECTFULLY. FIND ANOTHER COMPANY FOR YOUR NEEDS. ARAMARK IS NOT WORTH IT.Initial Complaint

As of midnight on 02/07/23 I received an alert transaction from my bank that "Aramark Food and Supp" out of PA was attempting to charge my account. I'm located in Massachusetts and at midnight was not making any type of online purchases. Upon reporting Aramark I see a lot of complaints regarding suspicious fraud, accounts being charged from different locations, similar situations to mine. I do not know this place nor have I EVER authorized any type of transaction from here. This is fraud and needs to be taken seriously. This place needs to be addressed given 185 complaints on record through the BBB.Business Response

DADA SUSHI Account Number: ********** Customer Number: ******* I had been with Aramark services over one year. At first it had no problem however early 2022 price went up 25% without notice. Therefore I requested discontinue the service around Aug 2022. At that time I had around $600 credit so I asked to refund which never came. On top that Aramark company charged me 4 times of service which we never had. They still have a credit card information so they just charged. So i called customer service about the charges but all they said was field manager will reach out to me to solve the problems. I never got any phone calls or email from field office. Yesterday I received another invoice shows $237.81. I called customer service they said my account is inactive, she doesn't understand of any of these charges. The reason why I chose Aramark is big company with good customer service. It's been over 6 month try to solve this problem but nothing from Aramark on top that more charges on inactive account. I really don't want to deal with Aramark. I've been in this industry over 25years this is worst service provider.I really want my money back.Initial Complaint

I began in my position with ******** in February of 2022. Since that date, I have had several problems with one of our contracted vendors, Aramark. They are supposed to provide weekly linen services, clean towels, aprons, mats, for the camp and conference center. The weekly invoices have been steadily increasing with price hikes four times in less than one year. The quality of service, however, continues to deteriorate. Towels come to us that are not ours (we pay extra for the "luxury line" of towels) with several stained and/or ripped towels mixed in the bundle. The communication is inconsistent, the deliveries often don't arrive at the scheduled date or time with no notice of the change. I have documented all of my grievances with the company for the last eleven months. I have followed their outlined procedure to handle grievances and submitted them in writing via a certified letter. However, the contract is written in a way that Aramark never truly has to resolve any issues and the only way to dissolve the contract is to buy out the remainder of the term. We are a very small non-profit and the bulk of our revenue comes in over four months of the year. Aramark refuses to work with us to move to an as-needed service and will only bill us using the 52-week model. With the latest increase of their services jumping from $600 dollars a week to now $745 for the same inferior service we are looking for help to break the contract.Initial Complaint

Aramark continues to invoice our company for services that cannot be verified. Multiple invoices presented for payment contain signature or initials of individuals who are not and have never been employed with our organization. Verified Invoices also charged incorrectly for services that were not provided. Two certified letters have been delivered to Aramark, per their instructions, regarding request to cancel services due to billing questions. While Aramark has adjusted billing for errors in services, the questioned invoices remain unchanged and Aramark has not responded to the Certified Letters requesting documentation as proof of the questioned services. Our issues with service delivery with Aramark has been ongoing for a period of time and we no longer desire to expend time and resources to resolve issues with this company. Aramark continues to ignore written responses to our request for billing corrections.
