      I am writing to share a deeply concerning experience with British Swim School in **********. During a recent Tuesday Turtle 2 class, the instructor, *****, publicly criticized my 6-year-old child, stating she "isn't progressing" and "isn't doing anything," before turning his back and ignoring her for the remainder of the ******* My child was the only person of color in the class, which raises additional concerns about the instructor's behavior.This approach is unprofessional and detrimental to a child's confidence and development. Effective swim instruction should be rooted in positive reinforcement and encouragement, emphasizing building rapport with students, offering constructive feedback, and fostering a supportive learning environment. ******* behavior starkly contrasts with these principles.Furthermore, public humiliation can have lasting negative effects on a child's self-esteem and motivation. Children thrive in environments where they feel valued and supported. An instructor's role is pivotal in creating such an atmosphere, and ******* conduct was in direct opposition to these principles.While I have previously encountered great instructors at British Swim School, this incident has led me to unenroll my child immediately. I hope the management addresses this issue promptly to prevent similar experiences for other families.I trust that the organization will take this matter seriously and uphold the standards associated with such accreditation.

      Were sorry to hear about your experience and truly appreciate your feedback, ******. ***** expressed concerns that your daughter may not yet be ready for Turtle 2 and suggested that Turtle 1 might be a better fit to help her build confidence and progress safely. You pushed to keep her in a class where she continually struggled. While his intention was to support her learning, we understand this could have been communicated with more sensitivity. We have many students of all races in our program so trying to make this a racial issue is a not relevant.During class, your daughter required significant one-on-one attention to encourage participation and follow instructions, which limited the time ***** could dedicate to the other students. When she refused to participate during the final moments of the ******* ***** focused on maintaining the flow of the class for the benefit of the other children in the class. We regret if this felt dismissive, as that was never his intent.Your feedback is valuable, and we will review this internally to ensure future situations are handled more thoughtfully and constructively. We have refunded all monies for classes that were not attended and hope you continue with her swim progress.
