Orange Settlement handled the sale of my mother's property after she passed. They withheld inheritance tax, which I had prepaid. They told me once the state confirms my inheritance filing they would send me my refund for $4635.00. Between my attorney and I we have been trying to get this refund for the last 4 months. Attorney ****** ****** has never responded to my attorneys emails or faxes where he provided her with all the info needed for my refund. I started to try and call and email. Ms. ****** responded once on Dec 19th that she would send a check but that check never arrived. Since then she has not responded to any correspondences. I sent he an email last week saying if she did not respond by Jan 15 that I would start to look for governing bodies that can help me recoup this refund that is owed to me. The lack of response has been beyond frustrating and would like to close out my mother's estate with my sister but can't while she continues to hold these funds. Any help to get this check will be appreciated.
