Pizza coupon price $15.99 for large gourmet pizza. Woman on phone confirmed price discount as $15.99 and I used a credit card and paid over the phone. Receipt with came with pizza and I was charged $16.99. New set of coupons that came with the pizza included a large gourmet pizza $15.99. I called the store and the owner picked up and we talked. He berated me that the price went up and costs go up all the time. I told him his employee confirmed the $15.99 price - to which he said she was confused. I told him the new set of coupons included with the purchased pizza had the same coupon - to which he said he ordered 10,000 of these and they were outdated and prices went up since he printed the coupons. I explained that we are regular customers and order pizza from him almost every week and that this was the second time this occurred - to which he told me the government takes his money too. I then said I had no choice but to report him to the Better Business Bureau - to which he said "screw the Better Business Bureau" and hung up the telephone on me.

I am writing to you on behalf of Adrian M******** owner of Adrian's Pizza, LLC, 2562 Brandt School Road, Wexford, PA 15090.  I have had the opportunity to meet with Mr. M******* to discuss the above referenced incident and would like to take the opportunity to address the complaints of the customer at issue, in particular, the misunderstanding of $1.00 on a large gourmet pizza.  The customer was told on a previous occasion as to the discrepancy on the menu which on the back of said menu that has been attached for your reference, it clearly states that the prices on the menu and coupons are subject to changes.  The customer obviously was aware of the discrepancy on the menu since he was a regular customer and was advised of the discrepancy on the price on a previous occasion.

Mr. M******* attempted to explain to the customer the cost involved with the printing of the 10,000 tri-fold menus and coupons and therefore had to continue to use them due to the fact that it was cost prohibitive to re-print said menus.  However, the customer was advised as to the change in the price of the large gourmet pizza and that a dollar coupon could still be used to purchase the large gourmet pizza which would result in the pizza only costing $15.99.  The customer was not satisfied with the explanation and wanted additional enumeration to purchase said pizza.  Additional customers that have called regarding this discrepancy on said menu have been very understanding and accommodating to Mr. M******* and continue to be customers of his.

Mr. M******* was not able to pacify the customer with the dollar off that was afforded to any other customer that would purchase the large gourmet pizza and an argument ensued to which no one was happy with the result.  Mr. M******* was upset that he could not reach an agreement with the customer on the price of the pizza, however, he would not continue to be in business if he gave everyone a free pizza that had voiced an unjustified complaint to him.   If you have any additional questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact my office.   It is a shame that a customer of so many years of Adrian's Pizza would stop frequenting the restaurant over this issue, especially since a disclaimer is on the back of said menu and also was verbally voiced to the customer.  I appreciate all your help and cooperation with this matter.
