      My husband's truck broke down in Columbia SC and was towed to the Carolina International Truck Dealership on 1619 Bluff Road. The truck was there for about 5 weeks. The staff did not communicate well with each other, as I would call and they would say one thing and my husband called and it was something else. There was one event when the secretary accidentally charged our account an additional $1500 on top of the almost $1200 that was supposed to be charged. Every time there was an unknown issue with the truck my husband was told it would take 3 hours to diagnose the problem--meaning there were 2 separate occasions when he was charged $525 in diagnostic fees even when they were unaware of the problem or how long it would take to resolve it (3 hours were charged regardless). After my husband finally got the truck out of the shop (just over $9000 later), he drove the truck for 4 days before it broke down again. The truck is currently at the Ashland Rush Truck Center in VA, and the mechanics just contacted him and said the truck is not repairable and is in need of an engine replacement. We feel the dealership in SC also knew the truck engine needed replacement/rebuild and never said anything. $9000 was spent at the dealership in SC dealership and we are asking for most, if not all, the money back spent. Clearly, nothing was resolved and we strongly feel that we were taken advantage of.
