    I hired David Ross last June 2024 to do some renovations in my home.
    He was supposed to be completed by end of July.
    He was to do my bathroom, hallway and laundry room.
    Sheet rock, floors, paint.
    I ended up going to small claims court.
    I was awarded what I paid him.
    As of February 2025, it is not completed.
    Have to start all over.
    Please DON'T hire him to do any renovations in your home.

    **BEWARE** Hired David Ross, owner Ole Boys Construction in Elgin & was the worst decision ever. 1st thing to happen was me finding items from my cabinets broken & hidden away. That wasn’t nearly as bad as the damage done to my home that he was clearly responsible for but denied & kept adding charges to repair these things! Never worked a full week as he was a no show numerous times. Left us with no flooring in our laundry room & areas in our kitchen for days without covering or making any attempt to keep snakes or other pests from easily entering. Nor did he do anything to help prevent A/C from cooling under our house while forcing it to run constantly. Failed to cover items in rooms or ask us to cover in order to prevent dust & debris from coating everything! Had to be constantly asked for receipts! After viewing the ones he did provide, we noted that many items never even made it to our home for use. They also included gas for his truck, gator aid drinks & other snacks he bought for himself/guys working with him. We had to fire him after discovering that he was stealing items from our home. After confronting him about 2 items, he did return them. Another deciding factor to fire him was an incident causing us great concern. He accused his worker of having some guy under my house doing her work. There was no such person! He accused his workers AND myself of hacking into his cellphone & locking him out of it repeatedly. He accused me of causing his truck doors to lock & unlock even though I was never near it! He got angry during these episodes & said his workers & myself were secretly working to harm him. His statements about people watching him & recording him through his cellphone & 2 VCR’s in his home. The things he was stating & accusations were completely absurd & irrational! His paranoid state worsened over the course of days. His delusions & increased anger caused us to be fearful for him to be in our home as well as worry whether he would return at nite
