Formal complaints to 1. Corporate Wyndham & Days Inn, 2. Complaint to BBB for bait & switch in the rate after getting it directly from the hotel... Told $80 a night then when i get there, nope...just the first night, 3., Health department after finding dead bugs in shower, reporting that my room hadn't been clean (and btw, the lamp shades looked like they went a round with Mike Tyson) I was assured someone would clean the bathroom immediately and then housekeeping would make its rounds. This was at around 11:30am. Arriving back at 3, going into the office to confirm he'd fixed the rate issue (which he said the owner refused) but that the room was clean and that all housekeeping are gone for the day. I went to my room to find NOTHING had been touched... Not the dead bugs, not even the tip i had left for hc ...bc they were never there. I went back to the office and asked him why he lied that it's filthy and the dead bugs were still there (others in the vestibule should have taken heed) THEN... OHHHHH housekeeping was on lunch. Hmmm one lie after another, price, cleanliness (or actually Uncleanliness.. i went to my daughter's who i was visiting to shower and stay the remainder of the week) not only did the hotel refuse to refund any of the unused time, they called police to come after i left to look at the room?
I wish they would have called while I was there so i could have had a police report with the officer documenting the dead bugs and filth. And then the front office told me i didn't have to bring the key back and not to worry they didn't give the police my name! Why not???? I would have LOVED to speak with them!!!!!I requested a refund for that night. I did not want to stay in that hotel again. There were no safety locks. The hair dryer shorted out and blew a fuse so therefore I had no safety lock. No blow dryer. Dead bugs in the shower. God knows what other things were in that room and I had to use the ironing board pushed up against the handle to feel safe.
