  Absolutely one of my worst experiences with a local company in Greenville. On July 7th 20** I had a main water line coming into my home burst and reached out to Mr Rooter of Greenville based on recognition of their name and it being an emergency situation. Their technician came and quoted me a price of $2,000 to repair. I felt $2,000 was high but I had no water and needed it done. Today, January 3, 20** Mr. Rooter's expensive repair failed and at 2:30am I had the same river running down my driveway and another emergency repair situation.
  I called a different plumber this morning to open an Emergency repair request and they responded and were on site in less than 2 hours. They quickly identified the area where the main water line was broken and what the issue was. It was the same exact spot where Mr Rooter completed their repair in July 20** and it was due to a failure in the actual shark bite fitting that Mr Rooter used on their repair. Their all in price to fix the issue as an emergency call was $638...... $1,362.00 less than the original repair from Mr Rooter that failed resulting in my need for this new repair...
  Why didn't I consider calling Mr Rooter.... After the high price on the repair in July of 20**, I had Mr Rooter quote on other plumbing services from one basic to one significant sewer line replacement. This time however, I also reached out to another local plumber and had them quote on both projects as well. In both cases Mr Rooter was more than twice the price quoted by the other plumber resulting in similar pricing issues as outlined above with the main water line repair.
  My lack of knowledge regarding plumbing left me with little idea what fare pricing is for repairs which opened the door for Mr Rooter of Greenville to take full advantage of me in an emergency situation. If you need plumbing services, even if an emergency, take the time to obtain another quote if you are dealing with Mr Rooter.

  Excellent and quick service. My hot water heater failed and my place was flooded, they showed up within an hour and within three hours assessed and completed the full replacement of my hot water heater at a reasonable cost. These guys deserved 5 stars no doubt.

  Told us that they could find a leak on 1000 ft water line then after less than an hour said he would call another company who did come out over a week later and found and dug a hole that showed the leak. 2 days later (Friday) he (Mr Rooter serviceman)came back and said he would be back on Monday or Tuesday at a cost of 3500.00. On Saturday morning we had no water and it was coming out at the hole. My husband cut off the water and called Mr Rooter who said it would be Monday or Tuesday before they could repair it leaving us without water for several days. We were able to find someone who repaired it for 500.00 the same day (Saturday).He didn't need the tractor and trencher Mr Rooters serviceman had said would be needed. He actually used a shovel and put in a few hours of work and charged 3000.00 less resulting in the same solution to the problem. I DO NOT recommend Mr Rooter to anyone, they apparently like to overcharge their customers and don't mind leaving customers for days without water because a serviceman doesn't want to use a shovel and refuses to give up a weekend day.

  We can only service customers based upon our schedule. We can't bump other customers who are having similar problems and we do not require our techs to give up their weekends if they are not on call. They work super hard as it is. Our techs also use shovels every single day. We are happy you were able to resolve the issue at a price that was better for you. We do not require anyone to use our services if they feel the upfront price that we gave is to much. That is why we do not charge a trip charge or assessment fee and give all of our pricing up front so the customer can make an informed decision.

  We had a mess with a plumbing leak under our foundation caused by a tree in our front yard. Cole R***** and Jesus N**** showed up and they were a blessing. They were both very knowledgeable and skilled. They completely replaced my waterline to my house, excavated through my foundation and fixed the leak then refilled the hole with concrete and fixed 2 toilets and 2 sinks that weren't working because they were completely clogged up with red dirt and tree root. Not only did they complete this task, they charged me less than their original estimated price. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
