Placed an order on April 13th, 2025 for a ******* Paddle after not finding the one I want in store. Says on sale for $66.99 (down from $120) I was so excited. On April 15th get notification that a shipping label has been created. Watching for shipping updates. On April 20th I start e-mailing customer service about issue. First they reply with an e-mail about needing to be present when package arrives and all this information about product deliveries. Super confusing. They finally reply with an excuse of 145% Tariff on product and no longer able to ship product and going to issue a refund. If they are going with that excuse they better shut down thier website as then no products should be available with this logic. Wish I never supported ******* Kayak's and Confluence Outdoors. Poor customer service.

*** ********** ******* ******* ***** ****** 240-260 paddle arrived with manufacturer defects. It is a carbon paddle which requires a protective coating. When the protective coating was applied there was debris which was coated over it. Some of the debris raises up and is sharp. Some appear already chipped of or scratched of by whomever finished this paddle to cover up their mistake. These clear coats are supposed to be done in a dust free environment and the paddle should have been cleaned off with a soft cloth. There is also what appears to be a scratch in the carbon which was clear coated over. This paddle arrived 7/24/24 and multiple warranty claims have been maid since because there system only allowed 100 characters and one photo for proof of defects and purchase. Neither was sufficient. ********** Systems directed me to the Confluence Outdoor page for a better functioning reporting system and allowed me 500 characters and still one photo. Outside of my initial customer service call with a girl and the last call today (which I believe is the same guy who didn’t get any to help) I was offered little help. He seems to be passing the buck. Unless that’s the business model and he is operating under SOP.
So now it has been over a week since I made the first warranty claim for this supposed premium paddle which cost a lot of money. Already missed out on using it for the trip the pushed me to order it.
I always knew of ********** Systems as being a good company. Not sure when Confluence Outdoor took it over. But what a let down. All I wanted was an exchange. You’d think a company who competes with Bending Branches and Werner in a highly competitive market would be going out of their way. They should be standing behind their products.

I bought an ******** ******** ***** kayak and it came with a dual action pump in February 2024. The pump did not work. Confluence 3 times sent me a pump that did not work. I tried to tell them they must have a manufacturing issue and to be sure to test before they sent me the last one. Bottom line I have had A******* ******** ***** kayak for 6 years. After Confluence bought ******** ******** the quality is significantly less. And the dual action pump only works on the up pull. Very disappointing. I have a document that includes all of the back and forth e-mails between February and April 21, 2024. I warned them I was going to do this. I also think they may have broken antitrust laws, I think they now have a monopoly on inflatable kayaks. No competition no service apparently. Bottom line I paid for a dual action pump and did not get one. I did get 3 that didn’t work. I went to ******* and got one, it works perfectly.

    Bunch of cowboys.

#1 they Sell products that are not cheap, namely Advanced Elements kayaks, and when you have a problem with them they leave you high and dry - no pun intended.

#2 Their ordering system is in shambles. Placed an order, less than 24 hours later tried to modify it, namely take two items from order. Got written and verbal acknowledgement of this request with promises it was going to be appropriately dealt with. Received the full order. When I tried to return the unwanted items I was told to fill a RMA. Filled RMA and no response. Called, then I was told I have to pay for the return postage. Told them this was their mistake and to put things in writing, Still no RMA, still no return.

#3 Their customer service definitely has a position amongst the worst in the business. There is an apathetic male who answers the phone, he says one thing and does another, the whole outfit gives the impression of a one-person outfit operating from Mum's garage. Do not expect any help nor assistance if you have an issue.

Overall: shonky company with pathetic ordering system, terrible customer service and zero responsibility for their products.

There are many brands out there, choose another.
