This company is literally impossible to work with. Our home was in active foreclosure last year. We went through the long process of loss mitigation, filing all the right paperwork for assistance, having a certified notary come to our property to send in the paperwork, with a ***** tracking number verifying it was received. *** lost track of how many hours weve spent on the phone with them, being told something completely different by every person we talked to. We start resuming normal payments as we were told to after being notified the loan had been moved to cure status. We have literal bank statements with movement mortgage showing they withdrew payments from the account for the **********************. Fast forward to a few weeks later and were informed that it is in actual foreclosure again, and that weve defaulted on payments in the amount of over ***** dollars. How is it that we can make payments on our account, they take the money, and then all of a sudden say were in foreclosure again. Were did the money go? We have tracking numbers/ emails down to everything showing that we filled out and did everything they asked us to do and every single time they magically have no record of any of it happening or they just flat out lose the paperwork, dont even bother to inform us of anything, and then threaten us with foreclosure again in the midst of all of it. I have never in my life dealt with a more unprofessional and unorganized company. They are borderline crooks with the way they handle business and treat their customers. All this doesnt even include how they also tell me we dont have valid home insurance, even after I have already sent countless emails with my policy number and documents. But thats not good enough for these crooks. They completely disregard that so they can force you in to their overpriced plan when you have no need for it or even asked for it. This company really needs a hard examination for shady and unethical business practices.Business Response

Two issues, Starting on May 11, 2023, I made several phone calls to Movement Mortgage in reference to my closed loan acct # **********. I spoke to several representatives in the Loss **************** In particular I had the unfortunate displeasure of speaking to a gentleman by the name of ***** on more than one occasion. I informed ***** that my credit file with Experian indicates that the sale of my home on December 27, 2022 was sold as a Foreclosure (FC). That information is not accurate and I verified the inaccuracy with with *************************** at ************* who initiated the foreclosure proceedings in November 2022 with a scheduled FC date of February 2023. I also verified with the ********** which performed the closing and had already requested the payoff amount, for a December 2022 closing, *********************************************************************************, **. paralegal ***************************, ************ of which Movement Mortgage was aware, ************ as not having closed in a foreclosure! All 3 entities confirmed the same information, the house located at **************************************************************** was "closed out and paid in full on December 27, 2022, not a foreclosure sale". My credit file indicates the "account closed after foreclosure which started in November and would have ordinarily taken place in February 2023. I was also told by a Movement Mortgage representative who advised me to disregard that foreclosure notification in November 2022 since I already had a signed contract by the buyer and the ***************** had already received the payoff amount for closing and yet the status on my credit file with Experan that the house sold as and after foreclosure. Additionally, I was in forbearance from July, August and September 2022, yet Movement Mortgage also showed those three months as 30 days late each, again inaccurate. Loss Mitigation customer service rep ***** also admitted the house did not sell after foreclosure and continued to dismiss the valid complaint.Business Response

Movement Mortgage, LLC (Movement) is in receipt of the above-referenced complaint that was filed with the Better Business Bureau. After investigating the consumers concerns, Movements subservicing partner has properly updated the consumers account to reflect that it has been paid in full, not through a foreclosure sale. Movements subservicing partner has also sent a correction to the credit bureaus regarding the consumers account and asks that the consumer allow up to thirty (30) days for *********** to process the correction. Movement apologizes for any inconvenience the consumer may have suffered, trusts this response adequately addresses her concerns, and considers this matter closed.Initial Complaint

This mortgage company used an incompetent title search attorney and failed to create the loan correctly which has now ruined my credit. The title firm clearly was provided the total payoff amount by me. Their documentation received from me proved this. The title search firm has the correct payoff documents with the total payoff but they accept no responsibility. I was advised by their broker *************************, that the firm would take care of (pay) the mistake. That never happened so I was then advised to wait for the **** of treasury to place it for collections and then sue ********************** for my loss. That result ruined my credit to the point Ill have to sell my home to quell the debt. She repeatedly told me about their new title search firm would just pay this claim which was zero help for my situation. On the basis of mistakes made by their company, their hired title search firm and awful guidance from their broker, I want this mistake paid off with all the fees and interest.Business Response

Movement Mortgage, LLC (Movement) is in receipt of the above-referenced complaint that was filed with the Better Business Bureau. Movements records indicate that, during the refinance process, the consumer failed to disclose to Movement the existence of a lien on his property; the settlement agent further failed to identify the lien, resulting in the consumers present concerns over his title. Although Movement sympathizes with the consumers situation, same was caused by no fault of Movement and Movement therefore cannot ***** the consumers requested relief.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
There are multiple emails received from Movement showing that both Movement and their ******************** did receive the info and amount of this payoff that they missed. The payoff from the mortgage company reflects it as well. Just isnt a true statement.Business Response

Movement Mortgage, LLC (Movement) is in receipt of the above-referenced rebuttal complaint that was filed with the Better Business Bureau. Movement again reiterates that it had no knowledge of the existence of the lien on the consumers property and the consumer has failed to provide any evidence to support his allegations. Again,Movement sympathizes with the consumers situation, but as same was not the result of any action or inaction by Movement, the consumers requested relief will not be granted.Initial Complaint

I have multiple loans with movement mortgage. They are seemingly UNABLE to process annual homeowners insurance policies when escrowed into the payment. EVERY year I get notices that I am not insured and if I fail to provide insurance I will get their mandatory, very expensive policy when I am IN FACT insured. I feel this is a money grab. Not only does it waste hours of time providing to them what they should A. be able to acquire on their OWN. B. something they should already HAVE on file. C. costs the consumers hours on the phone or D. are penalized. This is absolute garbage. This is terrible business practice and I wish I would have known this is how they function before taking loans with them. Beyond done with this company.Business Response

I received a notice via email from Movement Mortgage on 4/27/23 stating escrow change that resulted in an escrow shortage. I immediately called the customer service number and was provide an option to spread out the balance for 12 months, and asked for Supervisor since the representative couldn't tell me why the taxes increased. Once I spoke with a Supervisor I called the ******************* to have the percentage amount decreased back to 4% instead of 6%. I received an email from the *************** on 5/2/23 stating the request to decrease the taxes back to 4% was approved and a refund would be issued to me. I immediately called Movement and offered to send in the approved documentation I received from the tax accessor that's stated by yearly tax amount would be *******. I was advised the amount was being updated in the system and the process takes about a week to complete, and I should receive the updated analysis showing the new shortage that needed to be paid. I gave a callback on 5/11/23 and discovered the amount for ******* still wasn't showing and the system still reflected ******* due to a refund of **** issued back in November. I explained and offered to send in the documentation showing the amount should be ******* and the request was rejected and I was advised it would need to be sent back for research that will take another week. I find this unacceptable since my payment will be increasing as of 6/1/23 and I was previously told this would be straightened out over a week ago. No one I have spoken with shows accountability and seem to care to this straightened out.Business Response

An escrow analysis was done on my mortgage which was based off of inaccurate information, not timely delivered and substantially increased my payment. Upon receiving this notice, I have jumped through numerous hoops with my insurance company and Movement Mortgage to get alternate insurance and have my escrow analysis corrected and thus have my payment corrected. To date Movement has not done this and despite repeated attempts to resolve these issues I am either ignored or pushed off on someone else.Business Response

Movement Mortgage, LLC (Movement) is in receipt of the above-referenced complaint that was filed with the Better Business Bureau. Movement understands from the complaint that the consumer has concerns regarding her increased insurance premium and Movements action to pay same, resulting in an escrow shortage and increased monthly payment. As Movement attempted to explain to the consumer over the phone, the consumers insurance premium was higher than initially projected. Movement paid same, as per its standard procedure, which resulted in an escrow shortage. It is Movements responsibility to promptly issue payment on an insurance premium to prevent cancellation and lapse in coverage. An escrow analysis was then conducted, and the shortage was automatically spread out over a period of twelve (12)months. This resulted in a slight increase to the consumers monthly payment,of which she was promptly notified. The consumers slight increase in monthly payment was the direct result of the increased insurance premium, over which Movement has no control. As such, Movement denies any allegations of wrongdoing and considers this matter closed.Customer Answer
Date: 05/03/2023
I am rejecting this response because the increase was not slight and I did NOT receive timely notification of same. In fact the new insurance premium was paid before I ever received notification of the increase. Additionally new insurance was obtained at a lower premium and despite jumping through several hoops to get a refund to the escrow account for the original, higher premium, Movement still increased my payment. I submitted a request to remove escrows from my loan on 4/27 and received an automated message that the email was received but when I had not received a formal response on 5/1 that it was being processed I called in. Movement had not even opened my original email and I had to resubmit the application for removal of escrows to a specific individual to have the document associated with my loan and the process to be started. Additionally, despite requesting specific information on exactly when the application would be processed and when removal would occur, that information has not been provided to me.Business Response

Movement Mortgage, LLC (Movement) is in receipt of the above-referenced rebuttal complaint that was filed with the Better Business Bureau. Again, Movement asserts that it appropriately paid the consumers higher insurance premium, as required and per its standard internal procedures, which resulted in an increase to the consumers monthly mortgage payment of less than $100.00 per month. Movement is in receipt of the consumers escrow waiver form and is in the process of reviewing same. Movement again asserts that it has handled the consumers escrow account appropriately and in accordance with applicable regulations and Guidelines. As such, Movement denies any allegations of wrongdoing and considers this matter closed.Initial Complaint

My fianc passed away January of 2021. Since then, I have been trying to assume the mortgage and go through the loss mitigation process. After a year of getting no where, sending multiple papers, making my payments, I still hadnt gotten anywhere. I hired an attorney to help during this difficult time. With multiple attempts and sending the paperwork numerous times, we still have yet to get anywhere. After acceptance of this paperwork, and being told all was received, they then stated theyve not received documents and my house is in an active foreclosure. One year, and four months, and I still havent gotten anywhere but in circles with this company.Business Response

Movement Mortgage, LLC (Movement) is in receipt of the above-referenced complaint that was filed with the Better Business Bureau. Movement contacted the consumers legal representative and reviewed the consumers concerns. At this time, Movement is actively working with the legal representative to investigate and amicably resolve the consumers concerns.Customer Answer
Date: 05/02/2023
I am rejecting this response because:
The representative from the customer advocacy team, **********************, is only reviewing the assertions of error in communications between Movement Mortgage and my attorneys and I, whom I had to hire just to try to assume a mortgage that has still not been assumed. The customer advocacy team representative is NOT addressing the foreclosure action that has been initiated against me even though I have tried to pay my mortgage, most recently in February, and was told I could not pay on the mortgage until I assumed it (while Movement continued dragging their feet on the assumption, and continues to). The foreclosure and the assumption of the mortgage are the issues I am concerned about, not Movements own internal bureaucratic failings, although those have indeed caused or contributed to my continued inability to pay the mortgage on the house I reside in and the resulting foreclosure on my house. I would like someone to actually resolve the assumption of my mortgage Ive been trying to achieve for over a year and the pending foreclosure on my home.Business Response

Movement Mortgage loss mitigation is not cooperating efficiently with HAF. My HAF caseworker has been trying to reinstate our mortgage with MM since our forbearance ended in DECEMBER! If I get an email that I am missing a document, I upload the document immediately and 2 weeks later get a response that Im required to upload entire packet again! This has happened 3 times now and it is ***** when my forbearance shouldve ended in December. When loss mitigation calls me to ask about my past due payments I have had to be the middle man to let MM know that HAF has been trying to contact them for MONTHS and theres obviously something wrong with their system.Business Response
