I have a propane tank that is rented from this company. Tank leaked propane that I paid approximately $700. for— that amount has lasted 7-8 months but the tank was empty in 2 months. Company refused to compensate me for this. What was the conversation with the service technician and the version that the office personnel was no where near the same. Office staff gets irritated and informs me that I am to notify for service before tank is empty—- that’s not possible when gauge on tank doesn’t function. I have been told ( even by Mr Keenan) that the tank would be replaced. After three times and waiting for months the tank has not been replaced. I am receiving a bill for tank rental of $141.75 (year) since last June and $2.13 finance charge per month . So bill is $155.16. I would like to not be billed for a nonfunctional tank. I have received a notice that the company is going to come and pick up the tank due to bill not being paid . That was sent weeks ago and no one has come to get the tank. I would appreciate the bill issue be resolved and I would appreciate it if the tank would be picked up.

RE: Complaint No. ******** ***** ******, Edisto Gas

      To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing in regard to the above-mentioned Better
Business Bureau complaint filed against Edisto Gas.
It is important to mention that Ms. ****** often lets
her tank run out of fuel. When you let your tank run low or out, you will smell
mercaptan. Mercaptan is an additive added to propane to let the homeowner know attention
is needed to the tank. You will also often smell this after a recent delivery.
It is our company policy that anytime a customer runs
out of fuel, a leak check is performed prior to a delivery to ensure the system
      is safe.
On January 27, 2022 Ms. ****** called our office requesting
a delivery as she ran out of fuel. Prior to the delivery our driver performed a
leak check. The system and tank passed our leak check, and the delivery driver continued
      with the delivery.
On March 25, 2022, Ms. ****** called our office claiming
her propane tank was leaking. We went to her home, inspected her propane tank and
performed a leak check. The tank passed our leak check.
On January 18, 2024, Ms. ****** called our office requesting
a delivery as she ran out of fuel. Prior to the delivery our driver performed a
leak check. The system and tank passed our leak check, and the delivery driver continued
      with the delivery.
On February 7, 2024 Ms. ****** called and asked us to
come pick up her tank. We came to her residence only to be turned away as she didn’t
want our service truck to drive across the yard.
On March 14, 2024 we attempted to pick up her tank
again, only to be turned away again.
On June 1, 2024, since Ms. ****** used less than her
yearly contract amount, she was charged a tank rental fee.  As of the date on this letter, the balance
remains unpaid and continues to accrue finance charges.
In conclusion, Edisto Gas has done a leak check at
various times only to find there was nothing wrong with her tank, or other
propane equipment provided. Ms. ****** has not gotten a delivery since 2024, nor
paid last year’s tank rental fee. 2025 tank rental fees will be going out June 1,
2025. We have a work order pending to pick up her tank. Once this tank is
      picked up, the balance

and finance charges will be written off, her account
will be closed, and further tank rental fees will be assessed. Please be
advised, Ms. ****** has not called out office in over a year to discuss her
concerns or her past due tank rental fee. If Ms. ****** called our office, this
could have been resolved quickly and a BBB complaint avoided.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to
contact me at the number listed below.

      Sincerely,

      Laura S******
