As always, DAVIS is a PLEASURE to deal with....Very friendly and efficient office people.Jamie Turkette is an extremely efficient and knowledgeable tech...Always on time, always friendly...He goes the extra mile for DAVIS customers..
We have dealt with other companies in the past, but none that approach DAVIS....We have recommended DAVIS to many other people since having their service for the past 10 years..We would be devastated should they decide to drop customer in this area...

I requested service for a clogged drain at my septic tank. A plumber came out and cleared the clog with an auger driven by a hand held drill. Charged $214.
Two weeks later the drain was clogged again. Davis sent two plumbers. One of them told me that the ground had likely settled and that the pipe would likely need to be replaced. But they removed the clog without checking the line. Charged $214. A fourth plumber came and determined that the 4ft pipe would need to be replaced at a cost of $763.
Davis was not agreeable to negotiating the cost based on their failure to diagnose the problem.

The approved repair was actually discounted the second $214, but the customer thought it should have been less.

Do not hire this company! They do not honor their contract nor their work. They installed a new HVAC system for my elderly parents and they also overpriced them. When weather started getting warmer and we put the AC on we noticed the house was very humid. When we called Davis they diagnosed and said nothing was wrong and didn't even try to figure out the problem. We were told to buy a dehumidifier which is what your AC is suppose to do. I had to investigate myself and found leaks in duct work that they put in and in the unit. They only came out to fix anything that I found never trying to figure anything out themselves. After a month me and I parents started getting sick from either the freon leak or mold that we found out about months later. We tried to contact them plenty of times regarding humidity and getting sick, even went to the owner who told us to get a dehumidifier and eventually started ignoring us and never fixed the problem. Last I spoke with the owner he told me he is not going to waste money coming out to us when he could be making that money somewhere else. After a year of trying to get them to do right by us and having to go the whole summer without AC because we had to turn it off it was making us sooo sick we had someone else come and find freon leaking at the flares in 2 places. When I mentioned this oily substance to the owner he told me it was just condensation. As you can see they want nothing to do with you after they take your money. We had suffered due to their incompetence and now we have to pay someone else to fix their work. It has been a nightmare, do not use this company!

As I have responded in other forums, no one who has inspected this system has found any thing wrong with this unit, even the state agency the customer reported us to. Yes, a dehumidifier was mentioned, but only because the tstat was set on 78 and the unit wasn't running enough to help with humidity. We did everything we could for this customer, but was finally advised by legal folks to not go back on the property. There is still a parts warranty that we purchased that any contractor who choses to get involved can file on, but we have moved on. This took place in April of 2023, almost a year ago now.

The state agency never came out and inspected my unit they only took information from me and Davis never inspected my unit either they only visually looked at it and said nothing was wrong. I only recently had someone here a couple weeks ago who did say the unit is leaking freon at the flares in 2 places. This is because of Davis's incompetence and now we have to pay to get it fixed because they did not want to be bothered and as far as the temperature in the house, we use to be able to set the thermastat at 78 until this new unit which we dropped our temperature to 74 and still having humidity problems! Don't let this company fool you. They lie and give you the run around. The people with the good reviews got lucky read the bad reviews and not just on BBB.

Over priced! Didn't fix problem, charged for things they didn't do. Had do get another plumber to finish the job.

Our plumber was at the home on 1/18/24 to check a toilet that the homeowner had already tried to repair. Repairs were made and checked to everyone's satisfaction. The ticket has a note to call us if the problem returns and we will return, or contact a leak locator. In this instance, apparently the homeowner contacted the locator and the problem was something to do with another toilet sticking, not the toilet our plumber had repaired.

Needed more of a compassionate estimate for which is me seemingly to do the work. I will call him with my estimate and the owner of owing is not a good fit for me as to feel neglected. Got my motor kills from the same place....will be back in order and contact soon.

Not sure what to make of this one. We did run a service call at her address on 4/14/22 and found that the ductwork underneath the house had been torn up by cats. The technician called in to have a estimator take a look at the house and quote repairs, but it appears the customer was a no show for that appointment.

I wouldn't give 1 star but unfortunately you have too!
Brian D**** is the biggest rip off I've ever seen in my life!
It's no wonder he can advertise all over TV and put expensive wraps on his vehicles, and trucks.
When I moved here in 2019 I started renovation on my new home here in Spartanburg.
He claims to be a Christian man, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
He took advantage of a special needs trust and myself being in that trust as the lady with a handicap.
I won't go into all that man Brian D**** did to me financially except to tell you he ripped me off for a total of 8,567.88 dollars!
I trusted him and hired him for everything such as heating and air conditioning yearly plan.
    He always found problems.
Then I had a grinder put in which was very expensive.
Then my pipes broke on the street in front of my home which I paid for a ****** to lift the cement curb and he charged me again a fortune!
Then a few months later it all sunk in on the pipes he replaced but now it's worse than when he started!
It's all caved in again. I am now afraid since he wouldn't fix it that soon the pipes will break again.
I feel very neglected and embarrassed because my nice neighbor came and put a solar light on my yard so no one would get hurt.
I've called him over and over to no avail!
He still has not fixed the problem!
All I can say is....WARNING!!! STAY AWAY FROM THAT RIP OFF CON MAN!!!
As you can see in his reviews here on Better Business Bureau he is not well liked!
I wish I had never hired him! I have pictures but don't know how to post on here for everyone to see.

We did do some extensive plumbing work for this customer in 2019 and some of it required digging up part of the street in front of the home. Once the work was completed, we placed a temporary repair to the asphalt street that needed to be addressed by either the city or the county. We have no doubt that if it wasn't addressed, the heavy rainfall last week could have created another problem. We do have pictures of the work that was done in 2019 and how everything was left.

Over priced. They expect me to provide the AC filters to replace the ones I have, unlike EVERY OTHER SINGLE COMPANY I have had for my houses within the last 19 yrs! They are not Accommodating to my needs.
There is absolutely NOTHING special about them. I’ll be switching my services to a different company as of January 1st.
Don’t waste your time or money.

This customer has no choice but to find another company because we refunded her money for her visit and refuse to dispatch another technician due to the way she's treated our office staff. The last tech that was at her home also has refused to return. We did give her benefit of a doubt when she recently called and asked for Saturday service. We did schedule a tech for 3pm on Saturday. She then calls demanding that we have the tech at her house by 12 because she had plans for 3pm. We could not do that because our tech was at another customer's home. She then got very upset and said some things that we do not tolerate to our office staff. Once we listened to the recordings, the decision was made to refund her money and mark her address no service. She then started threatening us with bad reviews which just really shows the type person she really is. We wish her luck with her new company.

Davis came out to troubleshoot a six month old ******* HVAC. They sent skilled tech Bruce that did an excellent job repairing it. They charged me $800 to thaw the unit and $2200 to repair it. They then asked me to pay an additional $200 in order for them to file with ******* to get reimbursed $1200 for the warrantied coil. Well when I called the original’s owners son Brian D**** to ask when I’d receive my warrantied coil reimbursement of $1200 I was told they kept it because it was absorbed as part of the service fees. Not being satisfied with this answer I opted to drive to his office in Boiling Springs SC to get a better understanding of why I was charged $3200 plus $1200 to replace a warrantied Coil. This was highway robbery !!!! Brian D**** was seated behind a huge wooden desk that you’d normally see in an attorney’s office with ******* paraphernalia every where. He reminded me of a fast talking Shady used car salesman. To add insult to injury he handed me a $20 **** ***** gift card post giving me a long outdrawn speal of why it cost $4400 to replace a warrantied Coil. He spoke to me as if I were not even a ninth grade graduate. Failing to realize that I was an educated woman. Now eight weeks have passed and my unit stoped working again. I contacted Brian D**** again in an effort to make him aware of this fact. Him hearing the frustration in my voice he replied “ your talking to me as if I’m not bright, Im sure I have more education than you !” I responded “ I’m sure you don’t !” He then asked “ who installed your HVAC and why didn’t I have them service the unit. I responded “ You ask that question post me giving you $4400 to repair it!! , I then said “ you are gas lighting me” he asked “What does that mean?” I responded “ it’s when you speak to a person about everything but the subject!” He stated that his service was only warrantied for 30 days when the document I signed post the service stated 1 year on the coil. Brian D**** is a very unscrupulous man.

Ma’am, I am sorry that your experience with my company and myself were not up to your expectations, but much of what you have posted is not accurate. Your unit, that we did not sell or install, apparently has a 10 year parts only warranty. Our technician somehow was able to get your coil under the parts warranty and only charged you for the labor and materials required to do the job properly. Your original point of contention was getting a refund for the cost of the part, but you were not charged for the part, so there was nothing to refund. No where on the ticket is there any charges for the coil. The $1200 charge was to replace a warranty coil and it covered the labor and all associated materials along with the shipping. Your total ticket was $3,206 which was explained and approval granted to do the work over the phone with some of that total being for the de-icing, a wiring repair and cleaning to get the unit running so it could be checked. Once running, it was determined that it was low on freon and you told the tech that someone else had added freon at least twice. The leak search indicated the leak was in the indoor coil and it was replaced under warranty with us paying for the part and waiting for the credit back for it. There was no warranty refund kept because there was no warranty refund to be kept. You were not charged $3200 plus $1200 as you have claimed in this complaint. Yes, you did come to my office and yes, I do have a wooden desk, but so does most everyone else in our building. We found a salvage store in Charlotte several years back that had a bunch of wooden desks and other office furniture and we got a deal when we purchased a truck and trailer load for our building, but that, or the fact that I am a ******* fan with a tiger paw on my desktop of my computer, has nothing to do with this dispute. When you called telling me that the system was not working, you were quoted $89 for us to send a tech out, since it had been 8 weeks, and it was explained that if it was related to anything we had did, or neglected to do, the $89 and any charges to take care of the problem would be waived. Otherwise, you would be quoted repairs like last time. There was no discussion about warranty on the coil because that isn’t anything to do with Davis. The coil warranty goes back to the distributor of the equipment because you did not purchase it from Davis. We do offer a one year part and labor warranty to all of our Advantage Club members on purchased parts, but that doesn’t apply here for two reasons. You did not purchase a part from us and you declined the membership when it was offered on the original repair. Btw, the Advantage Club membership would have resulted in a $481 savings on the repairs. It is not true that your paperwork clearly states anything about warranty on the replacement coil because the warranty is with the distributor, not Davis Services. I don’t know why you are so intent on making this personal and have taken it to that level, but my dad is still very much involved in the company. I try to treat everyone as I would want to be treated, but it’s very difficult to deal with a situation based on so many untruths and that apparently has no boundaries. Again, I am truly sorry that your experience was not up to your expectations, but I don’t know what my tech, or myself, could have done differently that would have been satisfactory.
    Brian D****
