    I was referred to Carolina Ear Care through True Hearing in association with HUMANA. It was my first visit and last visit. Chad Fox, Audiologist was very rude and condescending. I was asked to come and sit what l describe as the Audio room where l was asked to turn left and right while he rattled on and on about him being a 3rd party and the insurance, payment perspective. I asked him twice for his name ( he gave me only his first l had to ask for the last name too). I asked him why was he rushing and if he had another appointment because he seemed to be very angry and upset. I told him this is my first time having to go through this process and had concerns about his behavior and the fact that he didn't even introduce himself etc. and his reply was that this is his personality and if you don't feel comfortable l could just leave. So l did. His dismissive attitude was uncalled for. I didn't deserve this disrespect. This was an unnecessary evil. I came with the intention that l was going to have good healthcare experience and that l would be introduced to new devices to improve my quality of life (hearing aids). I encourage older women especially women of color to not subject themselves to this type of treatment.
