Had an alternator replaced 1/23/2025 and it was not the correct size and failed on a trip to ***********, ** 4/4/2025. Per the dealership in which it was taken to. The dealership also advised me to return the bad alternator and I would receive "$75 for a core charge". After going into ***** they said they were not aware of any such conversation. I then contacted the dealership and all of a sudden someone remembered a conversation, but I was still refused my $75 back.HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

The customer came in in January due to a bad alternator in her car. We confirmed the issue and replaced the alternator for her. Our office manager did receive a call from the dealership on 4/7/2025 stating the customer's vehicle had broken down in ***********, which is a few hours away from our shop. We answered any questions about the repair, and we also confirmed the invoice and part numbers. The dealership called again a few days later tell us that the alternator was no good and that they felt our business should cover the bill. Our office manager informed the dealership that we carry a 2 year/24,000-mile warranty on all of our work and we would be happy to perform a parts and labor warranty, but we would need the vehicle to do so. Due to the location of the vehicle when it had broken down, it was not feasible to have the vehicle towed back to our shop. We gave the dealership the phone number to our warranty company so that they could file a claim. We did not hear back from the dealership after that. The customer, ****** *. came here to ********************** yesterday 4/22/2025 carrying a box holding an alternator. She informed us that the dealership told her to bring her old alternator to our shop and have us pay her $75 for a core. The customer ****** *. was never charged a core charge. The dealership should have accepted the core and not charged the customer. I am attaching the original invoice showing that the customer was never charged a core charge.

Im not sure what to do next. When I left D& K Automotive I said ****** learned and that I would never come back to this shop and would let as many people know as well.Just poor customer service especially from the woman and 3 men behind the counter. All just not to pay me the $75 core charge on an alternator which was wrong from the very start in January. My continuing to post on ******** Instagram TikTok will cost them hopefully much more than $75
