    On February 28th of 2025 ***** ******, owner of J Bar W Construction received a cashiers check from us for 32,000 to build a lean-to shed and barn with shop on our recently purchased property. The material for the projects was to be purchased through ******* construction company's account with **** ************ in Wall, SD.
    On Friday, March 21st we were to have our first load of material delivered by **** ************ for the lean-to shed to be built. The material ended up not being delivered that day and according to ***** was due to a error in the material. We then reached out to **** ************ to verify and that is when we began to uncover all the lies... ***** had never actually given any of our money to **** ************ for any building material....
    We met with ***** the morning of Saturday, March 22nd to discuss things and were then given multiple stories, excuses and told more lies. We did what to could to make phone calls to the other businesses he was naming off and kept catching him in more lies.
    With all the lies and no proof of where our money had actually went, we then asked ***** for our money back. He promised us he would have a cashiers check back to us Monday (March 24th) morning - as he would get the money back from **** ************. That did not happen... He then insisted that the salesman with Wall had scammed him and then told us he'd be giving us money by the end of the day from the 2 jobs he was getting paid for later that day. We did not receive money that day either. His excuse then was that one of the payments had to clear the bank and we would be getting a cashiers check tomorrow (Tuesday, March 25th) by late orning. That again did not happen either... He then went on to argue all of the funds we in his bank account and would be going to us. We then went to the bank to try to get what information we could... then with ***** on the phone while at the bank come to find that he had "closed" all of his bank accounts.
