I hired a local contractor for 3 separate projects which all overlapped each other. I was to cover all materials. On 8/27/2024 -2 Bathroom vents and 2 ceiling fans with lights for $1,020. One vent was not installed leaving an open hole and one ceiling fan was not installed at all leaving a light hanging by the wires and the fan that was installed, the light doesn't work, and it's not balanced. The job was pd. in full on 9/18/2024. 9/5/2024 - a partial kitchen remodel for $4,000. It included tearing a wall out, moving my refrigerator and a cupboard (switch spots), moving 2 light switches to different walls, changing 2 heating vents into one, and installing 2 tall cupboards, and a breakfast island with a countertop, and hanging cupboards above it. All the cupboards had to be assembled and installed. The BASES of the 2 tall cupboards were put together (one has multiple nail holes through the back caused by a nail gun). The BASES of the hanging cupboards and BASES of the island were put together with a brace in the middle cupboard broken and a 2x4 used that had to be removed (11 screws & glued) because the drawer wouldn't shut. What wasn't completed-The doors, shelves, drawers put together, upper cupboards hung, island installed, outer veneer attached, the electrical left open and exposed, light flicker now (throughout the house), drywall, texture, the heat vent assembly, and the overall button up of the job. Job 3- $918. to tear up and replace floor. I paid him $1,100. with all the draws. He did not do the tear out and when he replaced the floor, he stopped 2" short so the transition strip won't work, and he took the leftover flooring with him. I also included the items he has not returned a lawn mower and an air pistol. With the expenses to fix what he damaged and replace the items missing and the hiring of new contractors I now owe $9,838. This is what I'm seeking.
