    Date of transaction : 4/21/2025
    Amount I paid the business : $160
What the business committed to providing : They said they would change the flat tire my vehicle had with my spare tire. And if they could not help with that, then they also offer towing.
What the nature of the dispute is : The person who was sent to do this service tried to take off the lug nuts to change the tire but he did so unsuccessfully. He wore down the lug nuts so much in his attempt that he eventually said he could not do the tire change, and the vehicle had to be towed to a tire shop for them to take the lug nuts off. He charged me $160 for the tow, which was only 0.5 miles. However, when my car was taken into the tire shop they quoted me for $185 for a simple tire change because the lug nuts were worn down so much from the tow truck driver’s failed attempt. They now have to drill off the lug nuts and a stud and replace all of that on top of the flat tire change. Now the tire shop has called me today telling me that the price has increased by $495 because the damage was further than they first thought and the tools and labor they need to do this tire change is much more and longer than they expected. When this could all have been avoided had the tow truck driver that Redi Towing sent correctly evaluated the tire and not worn down the lug nuts to the point of no return incurring all these charges.
Whether the business has tried to resolve the problem : No, I left a message yesterday explaining this and called today again explaining the issue. The person whom I spoke to hung up the phone after I asked to speak to the manager. I called back and he hung up on me again, and told me that if I called back he would report me to the police for harrasement because I called 3 times. From other reviews I have read, this hanging up on people when they have a complaint seems to be very common practice for Redi Towing.

I need Redi Towing to offer compensation for this issue that they caused.
