      THE worst company. The states that use them as a way for people to order vital records should be ashamed of themselves and provide a reputable service. Vitalchek is owned by LexisNexis and has had terrible reviews for years and done nothing to fix the problems. The phone is never answered and services are never fulfilled and refunds are never given. Why can't people get help with this terrible company?

      Website is a total scam. Vitalchek is owned by LexisNexis and based on my own experiences, LexisNexis' primary business model includes scamming their customers, so Vitalchek does the same. Ordered a death certificate and then they tell me it's going to take 140-150 business days to produce, no cancellations allowed. Just like LexisNexis - total scam artists.

      This company is the worst. They charge you a processing fee even when the order isn’t completed and you can’t cancel it. I got charged $14 for them to do absolutely nothing. If you aren’t processing anything then don’t call it a processing fee, call it a were money hungry ******** fee.

      the got me jumping thru hoops just for a birth cert. took my money now they want a me to sign papers. ****  i want my money back.. tried to call but my battery died on my phone after an hour on hold.. thinking its a scam to get my info. just call your town and get your papers yourself.. i dont trust this website.

      I'm leaving a 1-star review because there isn't anything lower.
      This company is a rip-off. I requested two apostilled birth certificates to be able to be used abroad.
      They charged between 60-98 dollars for each. They sent a receipt for a "certified/apostilled" birth certificate.
      That is not what I received. Once outside of the country, the document could not be used. When contacting customer service the person or robot. (daniel) was useless. No care, no concern, no interest in resolving the issue. This company is here only to take your money with compleete disreegard for service.

      I purchased an order for a certificate on 12/21/2022 04:50 PM CST. It is now August 16, 2024. After multiple emails from me, emails from my consultant and attorney no document nor refund yet. I have probably spent more money on phone charges than the 26.50 fee charged by VitalCheck. Pretty sure I have been swindeled.

      They are impossible to reach and of no help when things don't go smoothly. I am waiting for an order placed 6 months ago and no one can help or explain what is going on.

      Terrible service. I can’t believe NYS includes their link in the form for getting certificate copies. I ordered a copy of our marriage certificate in June. It cost almost $80! It’s August 13 and no certificate. What a scam.

      Customer service is a laugh. Their telephones are always busy and even after waiting for hours do not connect. Repeated emails are either not replied to or of no help, one was even rude. The company keeps sending messages that they need additional documents even though those documents have been supplied multiple times. They charged me a $13 handling fee but I have yet to receive the requested documents. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

      I have been on the line for support for an hour.
      There is no reason I should be waiting an hour plus to reach support.
