  I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with VitalChek. I ordered a certified birth certificate for a passport application, but what I received was a Certificate of Vital Records, which is not the same thing. This document does not include the necessary details required for legal purposes such as obtaining a passport.
  When I contacted customer support, they insisted that the document provided was correct and suitable for all legal purposes, which is simply not true. Despite multiple attempts to explain the issue, their responses were unhelpful and dismissive. They even suggested I contact the Cook County Clerk’s Office myself, which defeats the purpose of using their service.
  The lack of transparency and misleading information makes me question the reliability of VitalChek. I now have to go through the hassle of contacting the Cook County Clerk’s Office directly to get the correct document. This experience has been frustrating and a waste of time and money.
  I would not recommend VitalChek to anyone needing vital records. Their service is unreliable, and their customer support is unhelpful. I consider this business a scam for not delivering the product I paid for.

  They sent us a total strangers birth certificate. Customer service took 45 min to get someone and then they told me its not their fault they sent the info right and told me to call the county office. County office closed during the time it took them to answer their phone.

  I cant believe this company is in business.
  They charge outrageous amounts for getting Documents fomr your paid for Govt agencies..
  For a michigan birth certificate of mine and my parents Marriage cert. it cost $130 !!
  If I had known I could have drove in and got BC for 24$ and about same for marriage cert.
  Only good thing was that I did get them within a couple days.

  SCAMMMMMMERSSSS RUN AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. I would've given 0. Star my mom passed and have been on hold for almost 2hrs when getting to customer support it's beyond disappointing it's shameful this company should be embarrassed by the reviews alone. No help from customer service. I did everything asked got a notary and signed in front copies ect they're saying it's not my signature even though photo id was accepted by notary with signature idk what more to give. I gave everything of my mom they're asking for then to be asked of her birth certificate but that's not happening she's passed let her rest and issue the death certificate. We're grieving and this is unacceptable.

  I ordered my daughters birth certificates on May 23 2024. They said it would be delivered by June 3,2024. They lied and I can not reach them at all and they got my *** money! Good Lord how many ppl is this company going to rip off and steal money from before they finally get stopped!! There are several other complaints just like mine. *** 34 dollars is a lot of money to me now days.

  I had to use this company as the county clerk office uses them to provide online documents. I Vitalchek all my personal info including credit card to get a replacement birth certificate. Order was never processed. I have to start all over at the county clerk by mail. I emailed Vitalchek to delete all my personal info which of course I do not need hanging around in cyber space. There is no excuse for this company. How is it possible that a company that deals entirely with identity information not BBB certified?

  I cannot believe this company is still in business. I requested a copy of a marriage license but did not realize it would take 4 months for them to send it. After 4 months, nothing, no document, no notification of a delay and impossible to contact VitalChek. I call the town where the records were kept. They instructed me on how to request the document. I received it with 2 weeks and for almost a third of the price VitalChek charged. I the sent VitalChek a message to cancel. This they responded to saying that it could not be canceled because it has already been processed with the state also there is another 3 month backlog. I threaten to make a complaint to better business and they had no response, they don't seem to care. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

  I ordered 2 daughter's birth certificates from the state of Indiana, which forces you to use Vital Check if ordering online. This also forces us to pay for vital check's additional processing fee. I paid the fee, as if I had a choice, and submitted all required documentation, which was subsequently approved. I received one daughter's birth certificate in 2 weeks time, but my other daughter's birth certificate was never mailed and never arrived. I keep getting emails telling me to wait longer. When I try to phone vital check, I'm left on hold for more than an hour and eventually have to hang up the call to live life. No one will answer my phone calls, no birth certificate has yet been mailed, and no refunds is their policy. I will never order anything via Vital Check again.

  Have not had a ticket nor a wreck in over a decade and have had **** insurance for over 4 years. That said, Lexis Nexis apparently a credit checker for the insurance industry did not check my driver's license nor my insurance company when reporting to the world a vehicle crash in which I never had. The truly disgusting event is this, **** insurance raised my rates knowing that I never had a claim, but rather because of Lexis Nexis reporting a faulty report.

  This company is useless. Bad customer service. Once they have your money they refuse to answer the phone. Unless you are ordering a new record. I have been dealing with them for over a year. I still have not received my order of a birth certificate. Ventura County needs to use a different company, I'm very displeased. No stars!!!
