  Ordered copies of a death certificate on 1/21/23. Never received it, so contacted the records office myself and received the certificates within a week. Received an email today, 9/21/23 that my order has shipped. There is zero reason it should have taken eight months to receive something I was able to get in a week. I wish I had known I could get the certificates myself instead of going through these guys. Avoid at all costs.

  Garbage company! Do not use them. Andrew @ their “customer support” refuses to answer my question about my given processing time. I NEVER received my order! The US government should have never commissioned such a trash company to handle something as important as Vital Records! I’m going through a visa process and vital records in the only company where not only was my documents never sent but there is zero tracking or info on whereabouts. Getting insulted by their customer service agent Andrew is like a fresh slap in the face every morning. Most recently he explained how to count numbers for me, his oh so passive aggressive way of telling me to wait long even though I excluded weekends and it’s still past the due date. I have asked him multiple times what date he has and his repsonse was NONE. He refuses to tell me when my date date of processing time is he just slings insults my way. I can’t believe this is a business and they can operate on such bad faith terms. No chance of a refund through them, you have to go through your bank to demand a refund and share the reviews based on other customers. No tracking info aswell. I wouldn’t trust them to light a candle in a birthday cake they’d find a way to scare it up.
  Truly a SCAM company, why I US government has allowed them to operate is beyond me. You’d be better off going in person to get your records, but if you are out of state like me it’s an expensive journey.
  Worst company I’m come across in a long time. Avoid avoid avoid. Check out their reviews on other sites. I found out too late, after my order was placed. Truly useless people with 1hour hold times over the phone and no one there to check on your order. You just get the run around.

  If you're unfortunate enough to live outside of the city where you were born, don't use this service. Buy a plane ticket or start walking back to your home city because this company will take your money and provide you with nothing. I can't believe some states use this as an "official" records search company. I ordered a NY birth certificate in February. I was already shocked when the estimated delivery was in July! By mid- September, I still received nothing. I got in touch in August (after being placed on hold for 30+ minutes because my order was so old it could no longer be tracked online.) They claimed more delays by the state. But I still haven't gotten it. This is a state sponsored scam, and I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company to get my money back. Thankfully my father had my ORIGINAL certificate. Otherwise my marriage would have been delayed.

  DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They charge a non-refundable fee and stick it to you even if they cancel your order for something absolutely ridiculous. I cannot believe that the AZ government decided to partner with this company because they are not helpful, do not stick to their word, and seem like such a scam of an organization. Get your help via any other means but do not let these people rob you out of convenience's sake.

  Ordered on July/30/23 Today is Sept/11/23 Still have not received my certificate.
  I received a letter 6 weeks later stating they need more info to process
  Today i am demanding a refund - I have little faith in receiving one...
  I have since went to local town i was born and got a Birth Certificate right on the spot at 1/3rd the price...

  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
  Directions and site not clear. They do not get tracking numbers and make excuses for regular mail not having them. The fee they charge is outrageous for the very little work they do and no security is offered. They reported the birth certificate shipped on 8/22/23 and should have arrived 8/24/2023. But it did not. I called. The customer service rep cut me off and told me I'd have to place another order. I asked to speak to a manager who was also unhelpful. Why a company dealing with birth and death certificates would not have tracking numbers as part of their policy and business practices baffles me. It should have been included with the ridiculous fee they charged not to mention the cost for the birth certificate itself. Now I'm contacting AZ vital records directly myself to resolve this disaster! Again do not use this company. Not worth it at all.

  I have been waiting since May for a divorce decree. When I call, the automated response tells me the order will be fulfilled "tomorrow". No live customer support. Do not use this service! I received a letter dated 6/14/2023 (which some will say it is only 91 days since letter) with an Order number and Pin number. When I go to www.VitalChek.com and check status, "Unfortunately, we were unable to retrieve the status of your order. Please call our Customer Service at xxxx2777 and we will be glad to assist you in whatever manner possible." When you call this number or the xxxx-4481 which is in the letter, no one ever answers. I have left it on recordings for hours and listened to messages. The next representative will be with you, experiencing high call volume, try at different times, try their website to check status, so on and so on. I have a copy of divorce decree with docket number, dates, that they could use but no one ever answers. My copy doesn't have a state stamp seal. This company does not care about customers. I am in need of document for pension which is so minimal, but now have lost income for months since I requested in April. They cashed the check in May, letter sent in June. The hospital union which I worked for wants to close my case. I have had to get letters notarized, etc. I can't start all over.

  My father had a legal name change for which I had documentation and they couldn’t issue a birth certificate even though he’s been dead for 17 years. They said we needed to get a changed birth certificate under his new name. These people are stupid! I wasted a week! Still have to contact Montana directly.
