  Charged me $38 for 2 copies of my daughter's birth certificate and it was incorrect. Called and waited 40 minutes on hold for them to tell me there's nothing they can do about it.

  Ordered a Birth Certificate through this service, and paid for expedited shipping ($53). The Vital Records in the state of Georgia must have read "Death Certificate" somewhere (not from me) and that's where it all went to h-e double l-l. Was charged for Georgia error and I asked for assistance only to be told I was wrong. "NO REFUND!" So, here I am to warn other's of Vital Chek and state of Georgia communication errors. Buyer beware. Do not use Vitalchek unless you want to give your $ away for nothing. Highly recommend Georgia's ROVER search system. They were Accurate and Fast.

  Death Certificate order was placed on 5/3/23.
  On 6/1/23 an email was received to state my order was shipped.
  On 7/1/23 I sent an email to state I have not received the item and requested another copy.
  As of 8/7/23, I have not received the death certificate copy.
  The death certificate is needed to resolve some inheritance matters.
  NOTE to future and current customers: DO NOT USE VITALCHEK if you have time restrictions. I have called customer service and no one has picked up after 18 minutes of holding.
  How can this business operate without checks and balance? I've seen other complaints on this site and wish there was a way find the root and cause of why they VitalChek is able to charge for services not delivered.

  Their website says 3 business days and it’s been nearly 2 weeks and I have not received my son’s birth certificate. I called for a refund and they refused to give it to me.

  Completely inefficient process to obtain legal documents. Would prefer for government agencies to forgo these companies and will be writing my senators/representatives expressing my concerns. I would suggest others to do the same and ideally put them out of business and hand these documents over to a more responsible company.

  DO NOT USE VitalChek!!
  I have to concur with the other reviewers and I DO wish I had thought to check with the BBB before utilizing VitalCheck! I was told I could order a copy of my birth certificate online and it was "so easy" ... yeah, easy but a month and a half later I have NOTHING, including $68 and some change! I received information reflecting an expected arrival date of January 9, 2024 - I ordered the certificate on June 12, 2023, I needed it by September and, honestly, I don't know if I'll even get it at all. The customer service person I live chatted with today seemed to care less and informed me it was too late to get a refund! Seriously?? It's not expected for 6 MORE MONTHS and I cannot get a REFUND? They sure had no problem taking my money when I ordered! Also, she repeated back to me their 'policy' and said I should have received information regarding when to expect my order. I did. 15 - 150 DAYS (5 months max), MY order is STILL 6 months out according to the information I received.
  Honestly, I am mostly upset about the $68.00! I did end up getting it locally for more than HALF the price ($30.00) and IN MY HAND instantly!

  Scammed me out of 80 some dollars and telling me it will take 6 months to get records. Took one day off work and drove 30 minutes to get what I needed. Asked.for my money back but was refused. Very unprofessional

  They scammed us. Waited weeks for certificates they never showed. We asked for help and got now reply for another few weeks. Then still couldn't help us. No phone number? Definitely a scam!!

  Absolutely useless. I don't understand how this is the "only" authorized service to get records from in New York State. The Attorney General should be investigating this company and who in elected office/government is getting a kickback. Haven't received my divorce certificate after 120 days waiting and can't get through to customer service. I NEED THIS IN ORDER TO COLLECT MY PENSION! I am currently in financial dire straits due to the delay/incompetence/ineptitude of VitalChek's service. This might even be covered under RICO if you can connect all the dots.
