  Complete scam operation.
  Your better off buying 68 lottery tickets and the odds you will win are better than the odds of you obtaining documents from vitalchek .

  They charged me, then refused to send the document because of a change in the spelling of my name, voiding the order and stating I would get a refund. That's fine. Then they didn't send the refund. Vitalcheck responded by telling me to ask the Dept of Health for the Refund, Dept of Health tells me they send notification to Vitalcheck to refund, with order number and details of who sent that request. Vitalcheck's response was "we believe you, but you have to ask them for the refund". This organization is run like an Indian phone scam.

  I ordered copies of a marriage and death certificate on February 9, 2023. It is now July 21st, and I still have not received the records. Attempts to contact the phone number results in a message stating they cannot receive phone calls at this time. When chatting online with a representative to request a refund, they stated they do not issue refunds, and suggested I dispute the charges with my bank.
  BTW, their written statement to the BBB indicated they have tripled their call center staff, but this can't be true, as they are not even taking phone calls.

  This company is a scam. I requested a birth certificate with my original name spelling (somehow it was messed up on a copy of my birth certificate). I had to submit several documents to prove my name was spelled MichAEl instead of MichEAl. They denied every document I sent, for one reason or another. I've exhausted the list of "acceptable" documents they asked for. Upon calling them, I waited on hold for over an hour (several times) then was told by an employee that it was being taken cared of and I should recieve the birth certificate soon. It has been months since that conversation and still no documents. Now I have tried to find my order to cancel it and it doesn't show up in their system. This company is nothing more than a scam. They ask for documents, you provide them, they deny those documents and never contact you again. They didn't even have the decency to tell me the documents were denied. I had to call and email them to find out what was taking so long- then I find out they didn't approve ORIGINAL documents from state agencies. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR DOCS. OR YOUR MONEY BACK. 100% scam.

  Absolutely disgusted with this company. I ordered my sons birth certificate through them and paid for *** next day air. Never got the package and had to have them file a claim. Took me multiple attempts to get ahold of them. The last time I waited for over 40 minutes. Funny how I didn’t need to wait 1 minute when I called to place my order. They then proceeded to tell me I had to wait 8-10 business days to get a refund and then I could replace my order. They would not even resend a copy or anything. you have a short period of time to get your child Added to insurance and you do not have the added number of days to be able to wait. Supervisors were absolutely no help and I ended up having to be charged again for a new order in hopes I will be refunded for my lost order in a few weeks. And their processing fee is insane for a horrible customer service.

  A lesson to always check BBB before proceeding with a new company. I likewise have had the WORST experience with this company. If you are able to keep holding for the 30-60 minutes to even speak with someone, good luck in getting to speak with someone who can answer questions, let alone speak with someone who can solve problems.
  Like so many others, the estimated processing time came and went with nothing sent. When calling for an update I was told that only my state could provide any specific information. I learned through that process of calling my state's records of a massive back log. I was told to call back to VitalChek to cancel my order and get a refund. When calling back to VitalChek I was told that I would need to ask for that from the state agency, a direct contradiction. I am familiar with organizations involving call centers and had to wait an additional 15 minutes for a supervisor to be messaged, then an additional time for a supervisor to even agree to speak on the phone with me. Only 3-5 business days to see if their "procedure" to initiate a cancellation comes to fruition. No one wants to take accountability for issues and they won't share business email addresses, full names, or direct phone numbers to ensure proper resolutions take place.
  If individuals won't share their names and make it exceedingly difficult to speak to anyone empowered to make things happen, it only points to a seriously flawed business that is only focused on making a quick dollar.

  They are terrible. Do not use them. Absolute scam. Over paid for something I still have not received. Zero stars should be a option because they don't even deserve one star. They will take your money then when you ask for help with your order they cant do anything to help. This place is a SCAM

  This is the worst company I've ever worked with. I paid to have a copy of my marriage license sent to me in November 2022 and it's now July 2023 and have never received it. I have called four times and get told the same thing, they blame the NC Vital Record Department for the delay. You always hold at least 30 minutes before you get to a representative no matter what day or time you call. I have asked for the NC Vital Record number but they always give me another Vital Chek number. I was told by Shikra on 6-5-2023 that she would look into this and call me in 3-5 business days, but she never called. I have spoken to Elizabeth M on 5-15-2023 and Lanal on 6-5-2023 and told the same thing but never received a call or a document. I have asked for a refund but they are not able to do that nor get me my document. I think this company is a scam, just to get personal information, avoid them!

  Claims they give you all the information about what exactly their role in the process is and your estimated delivery date before you pay. They do not. I talked to a rude customer service rep who told me they are nothing but an ordering service. They don't ship documents or anything. They simply take orders and send them to your clerks office to process and send out. I ordered a birth certificate around April 15th. It isn't estimated to be delivered until some time in August, and thats with the extra charge of expedited shipping! Do NOT use this company. You are paying them to do nothing. They will not issue refunds either.

  I waited 10 months before they finally sent my birth certificate to the wrong address. This is unacceptable behavior for an agency that handles sensitive documents. They take people's money and refuses to properly deliver their documents. I haven't been able to get a driver's license this entire time, and I've been lied to about delivery dates multiple times when I can actually get them on the phone, which always takes 30 minutes to an hour.
  They are fraudulent.
