1 starI started the service wiht Trugreen in 2018 to make my lawn look better even though it wasn't bad. I noticed that the lawn was getting worse and got more weed and grass was dying. I called them up several time but they said it will get better. I cancelled and didn't renew a year later. They kept sending fliers to come back and they would guarantee the service. I had them back in 2022 but it was even much worse. When they came to my house, I was never at home so I couldn't really tell if they actually performed service. One day I was home and watched a crew. He was staying in his car for 10 minutes and didn't do anyting. I went to talk to him and he handed over the service summary. He said the machine was down so I brought the pre-typed notes. He left without doing anything. I called the office and cancelled the service. I found out that there was other charges on my credit card that I didn't even know about. I complained and they just said they refunded. Then one of the service manager came over to my house and said he would bring the lawn up to standard at no cost. I trusted them but found out that they started charging again. I called them for a couple of months but no one cared and one of agents yelled at me. Their response was they refunded the service fee. They did not. They prorated and refunded the rest since I paid in full for whole year. I didn't have any grass but full of weeds. They should refund the full amount and bring my lawn back to how it was. I reached out for an estimate. AFTER you give them your info, it takes you to a rate calculator, where I realized that it simply wasn't in our budget and no promotional discount could have made it manageable. I received a text from them that morning, to which I replied that I wasn't interested. No response. In the 24 hours that followed, I received:- a visit (despite the two no soliciting signs at my door)- visits to my neighbors (who all also have no soliciting signs)- several phone calls - another visit - two more phone calls ...and I'm STILL receiving calls and emails, a month later. I left a ****** review. TruGreen left a response shortly after, asking me to email them. I did, and the email address that they gave me is invalid. Many neighbors have had bad experiences with them. It's not worth it to even inquire.TruGreen

1 starI submitted my information to request a quote for lawn services for my residence. Without prior consultation, a representative of TruGreen showed up to my residence (on 3/25/24) following up on my inquiry. I received a call from said representative the following day after he again visited my home (3/26/24) without prior consent. I received a second call (on 3/27/24) again attempting to schedule a property visit. 1. On 4/03/2023, was paid in full $723.07.2. A basic lawn care plan from TruGreen that includes weed control and fertilization, overseeding, fertilization, and aeration.3. The overseeding was a complete failure, the grass is so thin that you can see the ground.4. Contacted the lawn service, was told that someone would come out to re-evaluate my lawn.5. As of 03/27/2024, no one from this company has re-evaluated my lawn.TruGreen

In review of the customers active account, corporate customer care contacted the customer apologizing for any inconvenience caused, confirming a follow up call was made to the customer but the call was released by the customer,the service manager *********************** went to the property and talked to the customer,confirming the left side does not get sun throughout the day with very little grass, the right side appears to have some planted bushes along the home, confirming ******* grass is still dormant, too much shade in certain parts of the lawn and ******* may not be the best choice of grass, confirming the customer is willing to be patient and see what happens once the grass is out of dormancyReview fromRuby W

I signed up and paid for a full year of TruGreen lawn care services, hoping for a weed-free lawn. However, despite multiple complaints and concerns raised, the weeds are not only still thriving, but have spread uncontrollably throughout the yard. To make matters worse, they now claim that I have to sign up for another year for them to address the issue. Unacceptable service and lack of accountability. Avoid this company if you want results and value for your money.TruGreen

Had TruGreen for 3 years after buying a house. Every year we were not satisfied and opted for them to send a specialist over to resolve our issues. These issues included weeds in the lawn, dead spots in the lawn where the grass would not grow, lots of mosquitos after the mosquito treatment and still mosquitos after the follow-up treatments, scale bugs on our magnolia tree that we ended up having to remove by hand. After the first year we started getting earwigs coming into our house from the basement walk-out and the front door. Every time I called about the earwigs someone would say "yes our pest control covers earwigs" or "no our pest control doesn't cover earwigs" but then would get a call back saying "actually yes our pest control does cover earwigs". When we finally cancelled they said that the pest control we had covered earwigs in the lawn but not the perimeter of the house, so they came by and applied a perimeter spray that they said would take care of the earwigs. We still had earwigs coming into the house after that. The house is surrounded by lawn, if the lawn pest treatment kills earwigs, then why would we be getting them inside the house? We didn't have a problem with earwigs before we purchased TruGreen and from what it looks like, the other applications they provided made no difference to the aesthetics of our house at all.TruGreen

I'm writing this because, TruGreen *****. I paid $750 for TruGreen to fix my lawn. And 2 years later my lawn looked the same as it did when they started. I tried to get my money back and they begged me to give them a chance to fix it after the first year, so I did. I was asked by the service manager, ***********************, to call them back in February. No on has answered my calls or called me back. I texted the General manager ************************* and he has ghosted me as well. I texted him he said he would call me back, that was a month ago. I have continued to call them but to no avail. Do not use TruGreen to fix your lawn they don't know what they are doing. Thanks for listening.TruGreen

When I signed up, I addressed that I would need a lot of over seeding done. I had some completely bare spots. I was told all this would be handled. The people doing the overseed didn't even know for sure how to run the equipment properly. They even told me they were new and were trying to figure things out. Very little seed was used. I had to go buy my own seed and spread it. I don't believe it helped much because the machine didn't even scuff the ground in most places. On top of that, I was told by one of the ************ they couldn't get rid of the weeds because I started service too late in the year. I would have to wait until spring for them to apply the pre emergent weed killer. Now it's March, they applied it and I have lots weeds. I was told if I have an issue with weeds to call in between treatments and they would send somebody out. Well, I called anyway. It was not very easy to actually speak to somebody and when I did get through to someone, they were very difficult to understand. I was told I would have to wait until my next service date. I asked if I speak to somebody about my account and the issues I am having. The person told me they didn't know anything about my account and there was not anyone around they knew anything about my account. There was nothing they could do to help me. This is insane. I prepaid for a year to get a discount. That was a huge mistake.I sent an email....How do I speak to someone about my account? I called and the individual I spoke with knows nothing and said nobody was around that knew anything more. I prepaid for all my services and they have not been done. Somebody needs to contact me about making this right.They replied....Thank you for contacting Trugreen. I am sorry the person you spoke with was not able to assist you. I do show you still have 1 app that has been pre paid for that is scheduled for 3/21. Thank you I guess I can't speak to somebody about it.TruGreen

Terrible customer service. Pre-paid $420 for aeration and seeding, was told it would be done within 2 weeks. Three calls to them over three weeks from date of payment, on the third call I was informed that the service would not occur for another 12 weeks. Cancelled service and requested a refund.TruGreen
