After calling TruGreen and cancelling my service on July 11, 2022 due to not receiving services rendered I continued for several months to be charged. It is nearly impossible to cancel this service, as I was told today on a call by a Representative, my phone call back then, July 11, 2022 ONLY said to SKIP a service. This is their response to a service being cancelled. So today is 10/7/2022 and after being charged continually with my last said service by Trugreen was September 8, 2022, and money was taken out of my account without my approval of $***** I once again attempted to resolve this matter. I wanted a **************** address, email address or something and was told there is not a name to contact of a manager neither locally nor corporately. The ************** Representative I spoke to today Shasta ID# ****** promised to refund ***** to my acct and said it would take 3-7 business days. We confirmed the customer's account has been canceled, and the representative she spoke with on Friday, October 7 did start the refund process for her last service. I signed up with this company because of a busy summer schedule, previously we treated the lawn ourselves. They coerce you into paying up front and now I know why, they show up and they dont put anything down my lawn was an absolute disaster brown spots everywhere weeds everywhere with every application I had to have them come back. Had to have my lawn thatched and re-seeded because the whole thing was dead! Yesterday I receive a text message at 8:15 telling me that they guy has arrived at my property and at 8:21 I received a completed message. You can clearly see the path he took which was one loop around to put 3 signs down and off he went. My lawn has not been this bad in 28 years went the whole summer with a dead lawn which was especially nice for my daughters bridal shower that was at my home. Stay far away from this company.TruGreen

Thank you for your feedback. A member of the corporate care team reached out to the customer and arranged a property visit with the local office. The general manager agreed to do and additional fall application, weed control, and seeding on the entire property this week to help it recover. The customer was satisfied with this resolution. Their service guys more often than not come here and do nothing then leave. This time I am on my third attempt to have them aerate and seed my backyard. They're always willing to do the front yard, but for some reason I can never get them to do my backyard. I have a very large lawn in the backyard so maybe that's why. Whatever the reason, I'm tired of it. It's a good chance I will not renew next year.TruGreen

The individual who visited the property gave the customer his contact information if she has any other concerns. A one star is being nice. TruGreen deserves a zero. Havent showed up to my home since June 1, 2022 and decided to show up today October 5, 2022. Cant speak with anyone local. Have to speak with someone out of state that makes excuses for why they dont show up. I have cameras and they try to charge me for services not even done. Absolutely ridiculousTruGreen

This is my second go-around with TruGreen and the service and cost seem to be getting worse.I have a half acre with my home and driveway taking up some of the yard. My grass is around the entire front and back on an easy to access area. TruGreen services the front but will only provide a certain amount of product and once it is used from the spreader, no additional amount is provided. Therefore, my front yard gets treated but then not the back.Scheduling wise, the treatments are always pushed back due to delays and conflicts they have in treating lawns.The service techs are poorly trained, are not provided enough product/fertilizer for the lawn they measure and do not take care of the problems in the yard for what is being paid for.Bad service, poor work quality, and horrible results. The *** needs to drop them as a sponsor. I know I am.TruGreen

We arranged a property visit with one of our service managers to evaluate the lawn. *********** manger determined there were areas in the lawn that would need to be reseeded to help the turf re-establish. *********** manager agreed to do the aeration and seeding this fall at no charge to help restore the areas. I contacted Trugreen and asked for a quote to dethatch, aerate and overseed my lawn. They gave me a quote of $442 on 9/12/22. I asked again that was for dethatching also. The salesman again said yes. I told him that it was little high but told him to set up a date to do the service again reassuring myself with rep that it included dethatching, again he said yes. We set a date. I put the charge on a credit card. It was 21 days later that they came and did the aeration and overseeding done. I asked the ********************* who did the work, if they are going to dethatch, he said they didn't do that but maybe another group will do it. So I called the office and asked why they did not do the work I thought I paid for, and the rep had to ask her supervisor. She came back on the phone and said we don't do dethatching. You can imagine my reaction. I asked her if she knew what dethatching was, she admitted she did not. She said she would look it up, I said apparently no one else there doesn't either.This truly has upset me very much. My main reason for having this service done was to get my lawn dethatched.TruGreen

We discussed the dethatching process, and why Trugreen does not offer it. Since the customer was under the impression it was included in the aeration and seeding, we did agree to refund $100 of the service to the customer. The customer was satisfied with this solution. PLEASE READ as I am beyond frustrated with this company. I was called by a salesman in late winter who was very persistent. I finally gave in as he marked down the seasonal service significantly. (Keep in mind that phrase, "you get what you pay for"). My first service was done on a day that was raining. This goes against any logic of fertilizer and weed application. The technician couldn't answer questions and customer service lacks knowledge and is rude. Despite telling me that they would spot treat the edges and any weeds they see, they never did. My lawn is full if crab grass and other weeds that I have never seen before. Prior to the second application, I wanted to speak to a supervisor about the timing of fertilizing. That never happened and the technician showed up anyway to perform the service. Like many lawns in my area due to drought conditions, mine has suffered. However, my lawn is the worst lawn in the neighborhood with more damage than any of the others. A "salesman" called me as a result of my inquiry and tried to sell me an aerating and over seeding service. They refuse to send someone to look at my lawn. They will not listen!! I have no idea what products they used but it did nothing...may as well have been water. My neighbors do not have their lawns professionally treated and theirs look so much better. In the past, I have always used the 4 applications to take care of my lawn and it was beautiful! It was the envy of the neighborhood. I am filled with regret over this decision. They refuse to come out and survey the damage. They continue to contact me to sell me more services for shrubs, etc. They DO NOT care about the results of the lawn service, only making a profit by selling you product and services. I was told last week that a manager/supervisor would contact me and I have not heard a word. It will take several years to repair and re grow this horrific site. True Green is awful!!TruGreen

A service manager has been in touch with the customer, and they are currently scheduled to visit the customer's property for an evaluation on October 11. At that time, the manager will come up with a plan to help correct the condition of the lawn. Ive used them 3 years now, all spaced out years. I went with them this third time because they were cheaper than anyone else. I paid for the full year up front, 6 treatments, and have received only half of them and the year is done. We live in the country and I have a dog that lives outdoor. They ask that the dog be put away, which I think is reasonable, but text me an hour before they get there and if the dog is out the drive away. Yesterday was their last treatment and we had the same reaction except that my wife was home and ran out to grab the dog, the driver pulled into the end of the driveway saw my wife and backed out and left anyway. This has been all year. This company is terrible and isnt about customer **************************** at all. Use someone local even if you pay more. I guarantee they wont treat you like trugreen treats their customers.TruGreen

We have an automated pre-service notification system, and can reach out to our customers by text, phone, or email prior the business day before the service is scheduled. We have have made multiple attempts to reach the customer to ensure this system set up to best fit their needs, but have been unable to reach them. We would still like the opportunity to help. For the first time I decided to get fertilization service. I got a quote from TruGreen and to save a couple bucks pre-paid for 6 applications.. I was home when they came once and they were in and out so fast I was concerned they didn't do a good job. I was home again today and saw them come and they only did the front yard! I called to let them know they missed the back yard and they told me I was only paying for the front??? Who gets lawn service for their front yard only when they're back yard is three times the size! I went round and round with the person on the phone and she said I was actually getting a good deal and asked me 4 times if I was sure I wanted to cancel the service...seriously! Please take advantage of this review and don't sign up with TruGreen. Save your hard earned money. (I gave them a one star rating only because they don't have the option for negative starts.)TruGreen

Sept 9th Trugreen came out and fertilized lawn. My contract for weed and feed.many weeds in yard. Spent weeks talking to company people in different states. No resolution. There was a reschedule and they never showed up. Now they double booked for treatment and winter treatment on same day. Contacted ******* Trugreen and manager2weeks ago and said he would get corrected and would not be charged and would follow up and correct.. He also said they sent out unlicensed technicians and that is how fertilizer not weed and feed applied .Technician jumped fence and I was not notified they were coming.. I cancelled service today.TruGreen

The customer stated they would still like to speak with the local manager, and we let her know we would reach out to him and request he give her a call. ************** will follow account to make sure customer receives the call.
